Is Feminism really a Liberal or Leftwing project in essence?

I would define Feminism as being to the female gender what French or Thai ethno-nationalisms are the French or Thai ethnos.

So Feminism I believe can be either Left or Right wing- Korean ethno-nationalism for instance tends to be Left wing while Anglo-Saxon ethno-nationalism in the United States tends to be Right wing.

It is not Liberal though as it gives primacy to the group over the individual.

I often think left/right wing discussions are just waffle nowadays, or just a way of putting labels on people so they can sneer at them.

Whatever feminism is, its very wrong, full of lies and bullying characteristics in this country at any rate.

Who has been promoting feminism this last 60 odd years, through the media, universities and political system? Yes, it's those awful Palestinians.

Am not sure about the OP's questions but here in Ireland it appears that feminism is a natural state for many women who don't necessarily call themselves Feminist.

The express it better than I know . . .

Boys’ clubs have helped men network, collaborate and, thus, succeed for thousands of years. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for women.

It’s only in recent years that we’ve discovered the power of female networks and, thankfully, there are now female-led groups for just about every discipline. Here are a few of our favourites.

and of course . . .

It was a sad day for Ireland the day the women went swimming in the forty foot. How much coastline is in Ireland? We weren't even allowed to hang onto one little scrapeen of it.

Would it be fair to say feminism has been infiltrated and made irrelevant to most women in any meaningful sense?

There are probably more women in Ireland now who define themselves as Feminists than there were in the 1980s or 1990s.

The "Social Reproduction" school of Feminism is interesting because it looks how women in particular and gender in general fits into how various socio-economic arrangements reproduce themselves.

Feminism was used by Hilary Clinton's campaign quite successfully to defeat Bernie Sanders for the Democratic Party nomination in 2016- but failed to help her defeat Trump.

The two Feminists on Politics.ie are rabid Zionists as well as being rabidly pro-abortion at any point in the pregnancy.

Not really at all. It is one of the amazing achievements of Hasbara that they can manage to appeal at the same time to arch Feminists and homosexualists and people like my brother in law who would be on the most socially conservative part of the Conservative Party spectrum in England.

A major problem with Feminism is that a large majority of women in the world see attachment to their nation, class, tribe, family, Religion or their selfish desires as more important than their attachment to their sex as such. Wanting to make the contradiction between the sexes as not just the most important but massively more important than any other contradiction and conflict among humans is not going to work for most humans- however that is exactly what both a lot of Feminism, particularly in the West, but also the "Manosphere" does.
