A major earthquake has hit the Caribbean. A 7.6 magnitude earthquake has been detected south west of the UK Cayman islands capital of Georgetown.

This is very large and could trigger a large tsunami on the coastal regions surrounding this sea, including the Cayman islands, and possibly, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico and Cuba.

Anyway this has caused huge tsunami alerts all across the whole Caribbean, including for example Puerto Rico and the Virgin islands. However these have nearly all been cancelled, because they are after all a big distance from this area, but I think such an alert is still active for nearby places like Cayman and Honduras.
