What happened us in the elections was that we thought the referendum results would be replicated and they were not.
I was not expecting a walk over , I knew it was going to be a hard fight for any gains , I could see it happening around me ,fine Gael got a councillor into North monaghan for the first time in 20 years ......he was Heather Humphries parliamentary assistant  and they only conducted a selective canvas (houses they thought there was a chance of a vote / blueshirt houses)

Does that not tell you that a big chunk of North Monaghan don't care about migration, The Banty Enoch Burke, culture or anything else. They are doing all right with printed money and that's that.

By the way did Seamus Trainer get in?

If you are in a new Irish and want to find out where you could get a decent lunch, you pick out
a man to ask who you assess as being likely to tell you. You ask in English and hope to hear about 2 or 3 with a recommendation. I you are in a country Italian town with the same problem you will seek out someone who is likely to understand a little English. Your first problem is communicating you hope is a recommendation. There may be no one so you have to use hand signals.

Posters here have different levels of knowledge and some contrary. We have to wade through it.
One small item that perhaps you might direct your ample intellect to consider is that the mightier people believe themselves to be, the harder they tend to fall.

Aul Lad, to the best of my knowledge, has not come on here boasting of his intelligence, he lets that be judged by the content of his posts. He doesn't always get things right, but there is a brain working away there that many should be envious of.

The thing is though Love, Aul Lad is a very interesting character with a very broad view on things.

Yet for some reason he hates me and Val and wants more Muslims to populate Kilkenny.

What gives Sir?
From memory, Aul Lad was advocating for christian & catholic foreigners, hard working front line health care nurses.
Apparently there's an international system in place whereby national gov's recruit workers from abroad, Giving big incentives to tempt us and the asians.
Seemingly the HSE cannot give our nurses enough.
Now regarding Muslim countries - Consider how Saudi & Dubai harness Irish talent.
@Declan as a civil engineer would probably explain it better?

The nurses have plenty, it's more a lack of those wanting to work in Ireland rather than not getting sufficient dosh. Experienced nurses can be on 80k+, not many jobs are paying that.

Alzheimers ! ! !
THANKS FOR THAT .
your little club shares a characteristic---- you do not read posts--- you are unable to read posts----- as you all live is LA LA land and it is better to quote la la as it is more comforting to your troubled skulls than actually reading my post which stated that the people of Kearla have their day in Knock and they are very religious and moral .
since when did Knock become a Muslim shrine .
What would i know with my alzheimers --shur you must be right -- its not possible the 3 of you are thick as shit --it must be me .
RE Bangladeshis i was invited by a diplomat from the Bangladeshi embassy in London to attend their national day in st patricks --i thought it was an honour and i was treated very well and i learned a great deal .
the only other Irish guest was Richard Bruton td .
to get along with hard working people who are from a poor country which gets flooded to a depth up to 12 feet each year and which would not survive without the nutrients brought by the flood and whos history is one of huge struggle against a cruel oppressor --salman rushdies book stated the sun was dimmed over Dhaka by the vultures feeding on the corpses .
The father of the current prime minister was Sheikh Rahman who spent much of his life in jail being tortured by the Pakistanis and was murdered while prime minister along with his family except two daughters studying in London .
one of whom is now prime minister known as Sheikh Hasina .
they against all odds and problems insurmountable for most people have survived and worked hard and are making a go of things --their country sadly is only a few feet over sea level and i do not know how they will deal with that .
getting on with people who are not Irish and who marry within their own community is not a crime .
allowing out country to be overrun by order of george soros is a crime as it is done to destroy our society and the ability to see the difference is not taught or understood in LA LA land .

Aul Lad claimed he built lorries in Kildare in the 70's. I find that hard to believe if he's so squeamish about oil etc.

Fair play on being a gay litigant by the way Sir. (Even though I'm not quite sure what that entails?)
CLASSIC MYLES THANKS FOR THE LAUGH I AM GOING OUT TO THE SHED TO TAKE PHOTOS FOR YOUR FELLOW EXPERT VAL WHO STATES I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HIS WORLD.

It's all OK.
Until suddenly it's not seems to be the case right now.
The major nation western world leaders are morons to a man and woman.
Is that by selection?

Well, it doesn't seem that we're sending our best but there has been a significant change over the last number of years. They've been rumbled.

there are a lot of jobs I can only do myself. I spent all last week working my metal lathe and drilling machine with cutting oil all around.

Many people do not understand that. Auld Lad is one of them. There are others. If we are discussing the elections we don't want unrelated topics like Freemasons etc appearing. That can go elsewhere. We have weak moderation but cannot complain because without Dan we would have no site at all.
ENCLOSED some photos val .
val 1 is the first tool i used to change oil as i had so much to change each month from 16 vehicles val 11 is what i use today .
val 2 is my humble elderly lathe and Bridgeport mill and i put a gallon of your famous machine oil on it for you .
i would have changed more oil in one month than you have done in the past 10 years .
i built a joinery in the corner of the shed in a loft and you can see its all rusting as when i was attacked by the travellers i had to learn to walk again it took 2 years and had to close 2 companies and the joinery was part of one of them .
you do not have a clue about me val and you went back through all my posts to find something which disturbed you and you kindly compare my post to James Joyces Ulysses .
I then decided to reply to you.
i have spent a half century doing some kind of engineering or other often in crude conditions --i treated my self to a good garage/engineering /joinery in my 50s as i had a rough life sometimes working in a pit which was beside a river and would flood frequently -- working in water for hours is not a good experience .
you think you are the only person who got his hands dirty on this site -- maybe there are others val .

Very good, shows you must have some practical experience. I am not in a competition for changing oil. I do it as part of machine maintenance but do not measure quantities. Engineering teaches one precision, there is no forgiveness for errors.
