Many characters have come and sadly gone through different fora in the last couple of decades now but one of the more entertaining and well admired was Saul Goodman of Pish fame who later joined us here as Coal Gas and Peat.
So our two chat threads have been wrapped up and replaced by one in his memory.

It is for general chat, random thoughts and general banter.

Hopefully it will be a refuge of sorts and a place where one can feel among friends.

Well, the 17 year old prodigy Luke Littler has made the final again. He lost last year to Luke Humphries but he's just breezed through this year and looks unbeatable. Absolutely phenomenal talent.

I would say that if one was of a certain age ( retirement age ) ~ ~Then this might be interesting.

Of course a person would have to know that they could cope with such an isolated life !

It would be nice if a person could live where they could get groceries delivered ~ Especially if that became necessary as time went by !

There was a Docu about Thomas Moore on TG4. Half way in they had an African Blues band sing Oh Breathe Not his Name. Its a song about Robert Emmet.

I've nowt against the Africans, they were just asked to come in and do it. But I'd hazard a guess that none of them heard of Robert Emmet. They probably never even heard of Moore either.

It looked so weird, so contrived like most of this diversity stuff does.

Isn't this supposed to be Ireland's premier discussion site? Why do you want it to be an echo chamber?

And make no mistake about it, there are posters here who want it to be exactly that (everyone who doesn't agree with them on the slightest thing banned), @Wolf and @Tiger being the two obvious examples - and neither of them are nationalists
