I know this is another question people ask, so I thought I'd try and address: "Are Irish people to blame for their own destruction here?" As pointed out in the comment above, I think mostly Irish Nationalist candidates fail because of those points raised. If you had an articulate person genuinely from our side regularly listened to on the national airwaves, we would do well and I think could win elections, but that is never going to happen. So in that sense no, Irish people are not to blame, but unfortunately I would walk down that road a little. We live effectively in a Communist country now, for example all of the mass media coverage of the new Nationalist movement is really rigged in a very systematic and clever way, as stated, probably by intelligence agencies, but the Irish general public still seem very clueless about this and still give you all this nonsense about 'conspiracy theories'. The Covid episode should have wisened people up to this long ago, yet even on a different subject I am sometimes told to contact this or that media guy who will supposedly give it coverage etc. I think some Irish are remiss in not seeing this. Secondly we have some people out there with very diseased value systems, meaning what they think is the 'right' thing to do, is frequently none such. Many many Irish people stay focused on a job, making money for themselves and maybe their family, and thats it, democracy is supposed to take care of itself if you just vote now and again. Frankly, it just does not work like that at all, they say the price of democracy is eternal vigilance and these people are asleep at the wheel. There is just no point in working hard and paying taxes if you find your hospitals are turning into disaster zones, your schools are focused on teaching pornography, and anyway whatever money you make will just go in taxes or inevitable financial crashes which are probably just around the corner. These people need to get out and rescue their country by going and supporting protests and engaging, even if it is only online, with this new nationalist movement. So yes there is some general criticism that can be made, remember you get the politicians you deserve is an old saying.
