A very interesting article here from The Scotsman. It's not about the Gael who were kidnapped from Scotland and Ireland and trafficked to the Americas as slaves, but rather about African slaves who were owned by Scottish Gael in America and who learned to speak Gaelic from their "owners." This influence is still strong today in places like North Carolina.
