A long and rather tedious polemic on Russia taking the presidency of BRICS for 2024. It's good old Soviet unleavened block text that only a few will have the courage to attempt to assimilate fully.

I certainly haven't read it all myself, but skimming through it appears that Russia has big plans for enlarging and strengthening the organisation to rival the western dominance of the globe. Putin is probably thinking that a, it will give the US a run for its money and b, by doing so the west will be less inclined to bother BRICS members militarily. And they are quite right to do so. One big lesson coming out of the Ukraine is that technology is no guarantee of success and the old Russian philosophy of strength in numbers rather than fancy 'systems' is coming to the fore. It's served them well in the past and abandoning the NATO ethos of chips with everything is not to be laughed at.
