The Governing body of the sport of rugby (now called World Rugby) used to call themselves the IRB but used a small ' i ' to distance themselves from violent Irish republicanism.
 
Ireland have beaten the Maori to tie up the Series.

Its now Maori & All Blacks 2-2 Ireland

All down to the final test match this Saturday.
 
Ireland have created history. They've beaten the All Blacks 32-22 and consequently have won the Series down in Kiwi land.

Well done Ireland.

But what has happened to the all blacks? I watched the first half and they were terrible, completely toothless in attack. Never seen an all blacks team as bad as that.
 
Ireland made them look pedestrian. That's what happens when a World Class team turns up. A really good team become very ordinary.

Some Victory all right, only the 5th team ever to beat them on home turf I believe.

I see we went down to the Kiwi's in the World Cup yesterday. Apparently only one of our team was born in Ireland (not including the manager).

These white diasporas still seem more Irish than African lads born here who populate our current Soccer team.

Jonny got slammed again by that huge 14 Damian penaud :oops: .....he needs to stop going to MACE for that salad bowl , the lad needs a breakfast roll every morning and a big dinner of spuds and stew at 18:00 , he has been a great player the best 10 we ever had , but teams have learned to get stuck into him.......Ronan O'Gara told them to do it :oops:
 
ROG should know better , wasn't he the target of an assassination attempt himself by the Scottish at the bottom of a ruck in about 2003..... Had to be revived by the Bull Hayes :mad:
 
Jonnys not lining out against the wops this weekend , that body slam from penaud two weeks ago fucked him completely :( I knew this would happen......that Ross Byrne buck is getting the start at 10
 
No harm resting him even if he wasn't injured. Need to get these new 10's up and running.#

Btw it was unusual for Dan to start a Rugby thread given how he dislikes the game.

Italy 20-34 Ireland

Great game of running rugby. Both sides could've scored 3 or 4 more tries. Italy are a serious side now. 'Appen they'll do Wales in the next round.
 
Not sure that France are as good as the bookies seem to believe. Scotland have been class so far. Will definitely be putting a few quid on the +8 handicap.
 
Scotland didn't have much in the end .....the murrayfield banana skin was a myth , Johnny even came through unscathed this time , but there were other loses (all hookers are busted) cian Healy was brought on to become a hooker
On we go to the slam showdown next weekend

It would take some turn around from England but ya never know ~ ~ The French helpfully showed England what they are doing wrong = = Which is everything.

The two England scrum-halves ( 1 a sub ) looked like fellas that never got their hands or any part of them dirty in their lives.

I think England may need to bring back some Brutal Brutality to their Boarding Schools, to have any chance at Rugby or else get the Great English Working Class to play the Game ! !

We are rapidly approaching the world cup it's time for Farrell to get their heads straight , if they can reproduce what they did in the 3rd test in Eden park in 2021 they can do this ....for me Keith Earls gets into that squad .....should Jonny start matches or see how things develope :unsure: .........Farrell needs to drum it into them about teams blowing it , we can't have any red cards , Leinster blowing the final due to a foreign lads moment of madness is a perfect example
 
Johnny banned from warm up games so he'll get the full 80 against Romania (which is essentially a warm up game too.)

Farrell's son had his 3 match ban overturned today with everyone including England fans calling it a farce.
 
He really is an insufferable prick of a man , Aussie Rugby is in a shambles it has slipped to fifth in the pecking order under ...Aussie rules.. cricket.....rugby league and soccer .......can't really see the wallabies doing anything amazing for Eddie

That comes after they demolished Wales 52-16 last week in Cardiff.

Did they give South Africa the World Cup ?

It's Not over until a Fat Guy lifts the World Cup.
 
Ireland very sloppy against Samoa. The latter could have won it in the end but squandered two penalties deep in Irish territory.

Irish penalty count in double figures, lineout a mess and Cian Healy on crutches and almost certainly ruled out of the World Cup.
