Very reasonable

I think we should also have a dim view of relentless ad hom. So, for example, in the thread I was banned from today (Marcus Lounge), other posters talked about my "sordid life" and how I'm an unemployed bum etc. All I did was challenge them on their political beliefs, quite frankly

Yet I was banned from the thread and no one else was

Hahaha!

Man up for Chris'sake! You spend the greater part of your time on here trying to belittle everyone else and now you are blubbering that people don't love you! Step back and take a good long look at yourself, it'll be good for all of us.

lol "Man up", the old Woof excuse

You can't handle ANY scrutiny on your views, you're a whiny, little twerp (and obviously an antisocial asshole)

Now, how do we report breaches of the above?

Does forum refer to all of Sarsfields or just the threads?

Fair enough. Can you please remove all the insulting and vulgar posts in English directed at me? There are many!

I noticed that the most revolting threats and insults were directed at me without any action on the part of the moderators.

Is there a single one of my Irish language posts which breach the regulations?

Do you accept that machine translation works well and makes moderation of irish language posts a straightforward matter, even for those who don't speak Irish?

To be consistent, perhaps you should remove my Gaelic posts?

Furthermore, defamation of members of the public will not be tolerated.
Is that US defamation or 26-County defamation? Or both?

26 county defamation is very strict. Most comments about politicians on this site are defamatory, under 26 county rules. If we are to abide by 26 county defamation, we cannot even speak the truth, if it paints someone in bad light. Truth is no defence to a libel, under the 26 county regs.

Can you confirm that not one single member of the general public has ever complained about anything I have posted? Nobody.
It could be implied that you are accusing me of defamation. But that accusation is in itself defamatory. So it would be nice if you could clarify.

Has any member of the public ever complained about anything on Sarsfields?

Please keep discussions respectful and within forum guidelines.
An excellent idea. Please take action against the numerous posts using vulgarity and threatening death on certain groups of people.

Can you confirm that only ONE person has made a complaint about the use of Irish?

A moderator used the word "crap" to me. Is that acceptable language? I don't think so myself.

In fairness pal, you're hardly here a wet week and you act like you own the place

Converse in English to other posters and confine your posts as Gaeilge to suitable threads

The poor girl accounts here are now calling for the banning of a moderator she doesn't like.
It really is teenage tantrum month.😂

Add 'defamation' to the list of words you don't understand 🤣

I reckon it's having another mental breakdown. I've never seen anyone bitch and moan to Dan and about the moderators/other posters like this.
Quite sad when ya think about it.

more defamation. mods, please take action, GRMA (it means thank you)
No one has a problem with the odd GRMA ór a chara, for example

Andrew has wisely pointed out that the working language here is Béarla. You will be courteous to other posters

Living in the twilight world of online poker apps where money is the only focus, surfacing occasionally to put the world to rights on an obscure Irish forum is a strange life alright, some might even say sordid.

Implies that I have been discourteous.
Of course you have. I asked you repeatedly to cease and desist from posting at me in a language that I don't understand. It's common courtesy not to do that. Please converse with me in our shared, common language and that will be the end of the matter

Never. Not once. Grossly defamatory. Mods, please remove. GRMA

If that's true about the online poker, then AN2 certainly has an interesting story to tell.

Hey AN2, please write up your online poker experiences. It would be a useful and constructive thing to do and would be useful to other people.

Of course you have.

Doubling down on defamation??? No action by mods???

You do realise that there is no limit to defamation awards in irish courts? You, the mods, Deccie are all liable for this outrageous defamation that I have ever - ever - been discourteous.

But don't worry. If everyone issues grovelling apologies to me, we can make that threat go away.

The first thing one does if they play poker seriously is to set up a rakeback account, do you know what that is?

Rake is the juice the site takes from you, typically 5 to 10 percent. When you set up your account online with a rackback deal you get about a third of your rake back p/m. This alone was always a four figure sum for me. More than MaF makes a month in his stupid salaried job

That is the first constructive post I have seen you make. Chomhairgeadas! String a bunch of those together and do an explainer for online poker. But not on this thread. This is the bitching and bickering thread...

This site has its registered domain in the USA. Irish law would have no jurisdiction there.

Ooooh! Mods, he's hurt me, hurt me bad so he has! I am going to so sulk and scowl and stamp my little footsie!!

Well then you must be blind

Okay, agreed. I could talk about poker all day. Do you play chess as a matter of interest? 🤔

Great to hear! Mods, can you confirm this in writing?

If it is US rules, then the First Amendment trumps the hurt feelings of ANY evil, treacherous, blood drinking, satan supplicating Irish cop, politician or - whisper it! - judge.

Am I right or am I right?

Can the mods produce a brief outline of US defamation rules?

Here is my summary:

As long as you believe it to be true, you can say it. If it's about a public figure, you have even more leeway.

Mods, please clean all defamatory references to me from the site. The insinuation that Irish language posts were defamatory is in itself defamatory, because it clearly identifies me. This is my second request. The legal clock is ticking, you know what I mean?

lol You realise that you're not coming across as a very stable individual?

I was right, again

No, it doesn't matter what you believe to be true

We have three posters here (W, M and T) who have repeatedly slandered other posters as a paedophile, including me. That is being rectified (no thanks to our useless, corrupt mod)

I would like a clarification that none of my irish language posts were insulting, defamatory or in breach of any regulations. Go raibh maith agaibh.
