FAIRYTALES: GARDAÍ & MEDIA LIED TO PUBLIC ABOUT ASYLUM SEEKER RAPE OF A CHILD?

Next time you hear Gardaí and the media say that an alleged crime didn't happen; don't trust them. Discernment and cynicism are vital in this time of deception and danger.
This week, a so-called asylum seeker was convicted of "defiling" a child. But this was a crime the Gardaí and media claimed never happened. It was supposedly a made-up tale, designed to scare the public.
On February 17th, 2025, rumours swirled online: a schoolgirl had been raped in Athlone while on her way home. Very quickly, the Westmeath Independent reported that Gardaí claimed no such incident happened.The headline screamed, "No Report Of Female Being Assaulted On The Athlone Road" with the subheading "Gardai Are Not Aware Of Any Such Incident."
That article appeared on February 20th, 2025, and this week it disappeared. You can find the headline. But when you click on it, the article has been deleted.
Deleted because the story was not only true, but was much worse than described (as far as I can recall the article talks of claims a woman was raped, when in fact it was a child). A 23 year old asylum seeker has now been convicted in relation to the incident that we were told DID NOT OCCUR.
The charge in this case was originally rape but was downgraded to a lesser statutory charge to which the accused pled guilty. This statutory charge bases the wrongdoing on the complainants inability to legally consent to a sexual act.
While this downgrading likely would have been easier to prove (and therefore securing a conviction was more likely), it implies that the child was a willing participant in a sexual act, albeit one that she could not legally consent to.
In reality, the victim was not a willing participant. The victim was making her way home from a shopping trip at 5.30 pm on the day in question. She was approached at a bus stop by some men. One asked her age (she was 16 at the time). She was plied with alcohol and assaulted while unconscious, in what appears to have been a calculated and premeditated attack.
The convicted man engaged in an illegal sexual act with the unconscious child. Then, he left her. Without seeking medical help. She woke up in a hospital and attended a sexual assault treatment unit. Her mother reported her missing the night before at 10.30pm.
We can presume that by the 18th of February Gardaí knew an assault had taken place.
Surely, they would have been notified of an unconscious child being brought to the hospital, devoid of parents. One that needed to attend the SATU? So why did they say there was no crime?
For his actions in this case, the convicted man received just four years in prison. Despite the aggravating factors. In mitigation, Judge Melanie McGreally took his age and guilty plea into consideration (apparently 23 is not old enough to know better than to sexually attack a girl whose young age he had been sure to establish).
The judge said in court that the unnamed convicted man would be"very lonely" in prison (his family lives in South Africa) in what was a very insensitive comment for the victim. Perhaps do not sexually assault children, and then you won't experience such "loneliness"?
The man has "consented" to deportation on his release, but that could mean he will be directed to self deport, and no one will ensure he left. This is a problem, not least because no one knows his name (why wasn't he identified, given he was unknown to the victim?)
So there you have it. That's the case that simply never happened.
You're being told again and again that the wolf is not at the door, sniffing around your children, when in fact the wolf is sitting at the table, licking it's lips and laughing, content in the knowledge that the state is making prey of its people and a fool of us all.
