Homosexual movie coming out (forgive the pun)
Why fans are going wild for Heated Rivalry
The racy Canadian sports romance has taken the world by storm, and it is finally being released in the UK on Sky and NOW.
Unless you've been living under a rock the last few weeks it's likely that you've heard of Heated Rivalry, the Canadian sports romance that's become a sensation and is, finally, coming to the UK on 10 January.
First things first, what is Heated Rivalry? Based on Rachel Reid's book of the same name (itself part of the Game Changers series), Heated Rivalry is a drama about rival ice hockey players, Japanese-Canadian Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Russian Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), who develop a fiery romance over the course of their time on different teams.
What makes the show stand out, and is in part the reason it's become such a big hit, is the racy nature of the series. Creator Jacob Tierney isn't afraid of emphasising the heat in Heated Rivalry. In fact, he makes sure that the yearning and passion of Ilya and Shane are obvious for all to see, particularly with its borderline graphic sex scenes between the two men.
