It is alleged these were “the components of three pipe-bomb-type improvised explosive devices”. It is also alleged he possessed “four incendiary-type improvised explosive devices with white dishcloth wicks”.

Now, would Pollock receive a higher sentance if he was instead arrested by the PSNI? Are the sentancing guidelines the same both sides of the border?

Gardaí are investigating if a foreign national arrested in an anti-terror operation was recruited by right-wing extremists as a “gun for hire”.
