New serious allegations against Pope Francis

Its one of the truisms and norms of the Catholic faith, that canvassing for the office of Pope, prior to the actual conclave that elects him, is forbidden by Canon Law, but its also a maxim that probably this has always been observed more in the breach than the observance!

However for many years there has been far more interest in the very long term and very organised plans to elect Cardinal Bergoglio to that office, moreso than any of his predecessors it seems. This usually centres on what is known as the St Gallen mafia (after annual meetings held on the subject in that place in Switzerland) and there are now books written with that very title.(1) These allegations may be summed up here in a letter sent to the US President asking him to investigate this conspiracy, because it seems to involve US intelligence agencies, summarised here:

"To what end was the National Security Agency monitoring the conclave that elected Pope Francis?
What other covert operations were carried out by U.S. government operatives concerning the resignation of Pope Benedict or the conclave that elected Pope Francis?
Did U.S. government operatives have contact with the “Cardinal Danneels Mafia”?
International monetary transactions with the Vatican were suspended during the last few days prior to the resignation of Pope Benedict. Were any U.S. Government agencies involved in this?
Why were international monetary transactions resumed on February 12, 2013, the day after Benedict XVI announced his resignation? Was this pure coincidence?
What actions, if any, were actually taken by John Podesta, Hillary Clinton, and others tied to the Obama administration who were involved in the discussion proposing the fomenting of a “Catholic Spring”?
What was the purpose and nature of the secret meeting between Vice President Joseph Biden and Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican on or about June 3, 2011?
What roles were played by George Soros and other international financiers who may be currently residing in United States territory?"(2)

Whats new, or newish in this story, is that a retired Italian Brigadier General, Piero Laporta, heard some specific facts about this in Rome when he was serving there:

"That voice brings me back to a vast Roman circle, still industrious, to a prominent emissary of the US government, with his hands in the dough in finance (where he still is) and in Italian politics, a character of the upper floors of the National Security Agency, who was boasting of the resignation to which H.H. Benedict XVI of venerable memory would soon be forced, as the first weeks of his pontificate passed. He did it with ease and arrogance from which the design leaked out even above his very powerful organization."(3)

So the story is beginning to firm up that Pope Benedict's resignation was forced, maybe by the huge and very important US Intelligence agency, the NSA? This is of course a very big deal because in those circumstances his resignation would hardly be recognised as such in Canon Law, leading to a very confusing situation.


Grandson of the Pope?

But just in the last few days even more serious allegations have emerged. For a number of years the most public and well known Vatican whistle blower has been Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano. He was quite a high ranking Vatican official before his defection, serving as secretary-general of the Governorate of Vatican City State from 2009 to 2011 and Papal Nuncio to the United States from 2011 to 2016. Now he has stated this in one of the most recent of his now well known letters, and referring to Pope Francis:

"Investigations are needed into his past life, into the crimes he committed in Argentina (which is why he never returned as “pope” to his native country) and into the murky events that allege Jorge Mario Bergoglio was personally responsible for the sexual abuse of young Jesuits when he was Novice Master in Argentina. It must be clarified whether Tomas Ricardo Arizaga (known as Tomasito), who died on 20 July 2014 at the age of 11, and who was then cremated and buried in 2019 in the Teutonic Cemetery in the Vatican after having had his teeth removed, is really Bergoglio’s son, as has been rumored for too long and as multiple elements lead us to believe."(4)

Surprisingly it turns out that all this is not necessarily as new as you might think. Other Vatican observers, it seems, had known about this for a long time and its only because of the status of Archbishop Vigano that allows them to now come forward. In particular Ann Barnhardt has elaborated greatly on the story.(5) She states that the boy in question is the grandson of the Pope, the son of a secretary who used to serve in the Pope's then offices in Argentina in the 80s. She has also seen a picture of him and says he is the dead spit of the Pope.

The official story is that the Pope frequently met him and that when he was dying of cancer he asked to be buried near him in the Vatican and that his wish, after his cremation in Argentina, was eventually carried out and he his indeed buried in the Teutonic graveyard inside the Vatican.(6)

So while no doubt we all wish the Pope will recover from his current illness, I think we should also hope that these serious allegations will be addressed.
