Over-engineered 1950s West German manufactured, an economy high on US largesse of Marshall Plan money. Such a sweet folding camera of 6x6 delight. It came from a camera guy in the US who had restored vintage camera to be as good as the day the German technicians had sent it out the door. It was steep in price as I recall... around 300 quid. I waited excitedly for it to come across the Atlantic once more. Sure enough, it arrived and I was notified by a Post Office slip through the door and off to the Sorting Office to collect, only to be informed i'd have to pay nearly 90 pounds more. WTF? I had not realise that importing such an item would be subject to a tariff. I'm sure the British government were delighted that they were coining it from my expensive hobby. I'd have bought it here if there had been one available or if there were people with the skills to restore such vintage mechanical devices. But there weren't. I could get any God's amounts of Chinese shite with expensive Japanese brand names in Curry's.In this regard,  I can see why the US might want to tariff things, if other countries have being do that on them for years.</blockquote>
