My . . . . How things have changed these last couple of years? . . . and we always had an Indian/asian component in town but now . . . . ???
i know many of the Bangladeshi community in kilkenny and have been invited to their national day celebrated in st patricks on the drumcondra rd where i learned of the large network they have in Ireland .
ALL the Indian restaurants in kilkenny and in the county are owned and staffed by Bangladeshis and the main supplier of them is BD TRADING who i buy fish and other items at wholesale from --all the community know i have travelled throughout Bangladesh and most of them are from sylet where i was based for a while .
i also am involved with the kearla community of south india who number about 300 in kilkenny -- most are very religious catholics and have their own prayer day in knock where 7000 ish attend .
they are beautiful people and you would be very lucky to have a family from kearla living beside you -- they have way more morals and true Christianity than us and i am glad i know them and when i was hospitalized in st lukes they cared for me and it was an honor to deal with them as was my time in ardkeen Waterford where hundreds more live and our health service would collapse without them .

The stupid fucks will double down

Very possibly but very possibily not.

They are very keen on impressing Senior Civil Servants as to their "maturity" but that is primarily because they want to exercise power and they may not get the chance to do so if they do not at least significantly tone down on certain things.

When Justin Barret gets eliminated with 300 votes and needing 90,000 will Dan and the rest of yiz finally accept that Irish politics is far removed from their understanding of it.

So much time has been wasted on him and Gemma for no gain whatso ever.

The coverage I've been watching on RTE today is totally at odds to what the posters on this thread are saying.

Its still very early days but I can't see what other fellas on here are seeing.

If the current trend continues this will be a disastrous day for Ireland.

I'd love to know what Tracy O'Mahony is smoking.

Its true Sir. As Vlad said today, replacement migration is working a treat. For the few nationalists elected there'll be at least as many Planters elected by their fellow planters.

Meanwhile Paddy and Biddy continue to vote for their ethnic replacement.

The shocking thing is how many are still voting FG and FF.

the only ones getting a good kicking is Mary Lou McMuslim who will just now stick like shit to a blanket and sink SF altogether as the rats panic.

(Many thanks for your kind comments Yank and sorry for not replying sooner.) I was just at the count in Westmeath in Moate and while we are doing well in places, sure, I am a bit depressed about a lot of the country. In Westmeath there is a Nationalist alliance - although one member thereof told me it was just an election leaflet! - and most of them are at the bottom of the poll, although its early days yet and who knows what might happen with transfers etc. Peter Burke was there and morale is great among the established parties, maybe with the exception of Sinn Fein.

Basically I think the pattern is, and will continue to be, a good result in working class Dublin but not so good in a lot of rural Ireland. The simple reason for this is that the protests have penetrated the communities in Dublin, in otherwords people are discussing politics, a little bit anyway, by word of mouth among those communities and elsewhere less so. Meaning that in a place like Westmeath there is less of a community now than there is in Dublin, huge emigration of especially young Irish people coupled with the crashing of pub culture, funerals etc - not accidentally helped by Covid restrictions - means that they just get their news not orally but from the mass media, and we all know the story there.

Anyway no doubt there are plenty of reasons but hopefully this Dublin uprising, which is I think a little evident in the results and probably will put a stop to the rise of Sinn Fein, will permeate somehow across the country, but gosh we are up against it now. Rumours have it that the contractors are all ready to go into Clonmel on Monday, and that those developers have been told to move onto that site now or they will lose all their govt contracts, etc etc. The pressure is on now...

Doesn't matter what way you slice it Bocht but having so many Nationalist candidates splits the vote. There's no ifs buts or maybes.

How the hell can we deliver a coherent, unified message with so many people operating on their own?

We had the farcical situation earlier in the week where Justin Barrett and his missus said they don't bother campaigning and don't even want to get elected yet there they are on the ballot paper.

FFG, the people that planted the Country, are set to up their vote!

Let's face it, there is also the problem of some "far right" candidates not knowing their arse from their elbow, For example, Andy Heasmen claimed that he could/would trigger article 50 and withdraw Ireland from the EU if he was elected 🙄

Well personally one of the things some don't seem to know is the Irish PR system, I am telling you the British concept of 'splitting votes' just doesn't apply here. Although, as I have said before, of course I concede that if we put all leafletting, postering and media appearances behind one person in a given area, sure it might have helped.

So maybe some more unity would help the cause and there is talk of that (apparently the supplanting of Justin Barrett makes this easier, or so I am told). But if Westmeath is anything to go by its not the panacea? Remember there the Irish Freedom Party, Ireland First and Independents came together in one alliance, with one election leaflet for example, and it doesn't seem to have made the slightest positive difference?

I am well tired of this talk of splitting the vote, it is rubbish or are people so retarded that they can not even fill out a ballot.

They were also strongly supported on the ground by National Party members, so they were united and still ended up bottom of all polls, or nearly anyway, so whatever problem is out there i am not sure thats it?
