I told ye yesterday that I was celebrating, despite Stephen Kerr being edged out.

We were coming off a base of nothing apart from Seamus treanor maybe and the odd indo here and there .....now Herman is in and independent ireland are in .....we could do with a national party to be elected

It's simple Declan - modern life is all about conditioning, brainwashing and demoralising the masses. An old Irish American priest (I believe his name was Feeny or freeny) protested against the rollout of TV in the States in the 50s saying it would be like having a jew in every living room in the States. What a good CALL! That's what's wrong with most of the western world for the last 70 odd years - we've had a baglebiter in every sitting room in the world literally dehumanising people. TV is a soul destroyer.

No, the papers have been separated and EU ones taken away to a separate count centre for each of the 3 regions. The locals are kept in each county. Tally men get a glimpse of all while separation takes place. Next the local count begins when EU papers are gone. That is well under way but was delayed longer than normal due to the separation process. The EU count cannot start until
all polls are closed across the EU. That was Sunday night at about 10 pm. This is so a result in one country would not impact voting in another while polls are open.

The EU count will take a long time and when the locals are done, some staff will be brought to the EU count centres to assist with it.

It was a great chance for me to burn old tyres but it turned out wet. I deserve sympathy.

That may be true due to staff shortages. It makes sense actually. Legally the EU count will start this morning. However there may not be enough staff and the returning have discression. In Dail elections the count must start at 9 am no matter what.
