i don't think entering a church during a service is proper and is not respectful .
entering a church before the service with the permission of the congregation is the proper way to do it and there were too many 3 would have been enough and the same people would have to walk past them outside and read their placards then .
there was no need to do a protest in the church .
i have read scolarebocht take on this and his is a mature considered view .
i understood the first parade of plackcards was done with church approval i must have been mis informed .
the people of America are as good as ourselves and almost a good as the Russians who have more christian religion and a more moral society --none of us want the people of Gaza to suffer -- and the great Jewish professor Jeffery Sachs explains it all in his last tucker interview.
where he states Israel not the usa has controlled USA foreign policy for the past 30 years through gangesterism in the USA congress where they are terrified of them and their endless supply of money to defeat any American view .
there is no way americians with their free will would have done this to Gaza .
Anyone hat thnks otherwise is an ejit

A couple of observations…

This sacrilegious intrusion during Mass at a Catholic Church in Armagh is a symptom of the collapse of reverence and order in what now passes for the Catholic Church under the post-Conciliar regime. For these protesters to storm into the sanctuary during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass—a moment when Heaven and Earth unite at the altar—demonstrates not only their own profound ignorance but also the deplorable state of Catholic identity in the Novus Ordo establishment. The Mass is not a public square or a town hall meeting; it is the unbloody renewal of Calvary, an act that transcends all earthly affairs. By treating it as a mere backdrop for their political theater, these individuals have displayed not just disrespect but outright sacrilege.

More absurd still is the misguided target of their protest. The faithful gathered in Armagh have no connection to the plight of Gaza, nor does this church bear any responsibility for the crimes of Israeli or Western powers. If these bozo activists had even a shred of moral clarity, they would direct their efforts toward those actually complicit in the suffering they decry. Instead, they chose to desecrate a space where people were gathered to worship Almighty God, a cowardly act that achieves nothing but scandal.

But let us not overlook the role of the so-called clergy of the Newchurch in creating the conditions for such chaos. For decades, these priests, steeped in the heretical spirit of Vatican II, have reduced Catholic churches to glorified community centers. They have invited secular concerts, plays, and interfaith spectacles into spaces once consecrated to the worship of Christ the King. In Ireland, we have seen the grotesque spectacle of Catholic churches being handed over for Islamic and Hindu rituals, a clear betrayal of the First Commandment and a mockery of Catholic tradition. By desacralizing these spaces, the Novus Ordo hierarchy has stripped them of their sacredness, teaching the world that these buildings are no different from any other auditorium or hall.

Unfortunately, it is no surprise that some of the (poorly formed) laity applauded the protesters, their instincts dulled by decades of theological confusion and liturgical abuse. This is the fruit of the Vatican II revolution—a church that no longer commands respect because it has abandoned the authority of Christ. The incident in Armagh is a wake-up call for any Catholic with eyes to see and ears to hear: the Newchurch is not the Catholic Church, and only by returning to the unadulterated faith of our ancestors can we hope to reclaim what has been lost. Until then, such desecrations will only continue, and the blame lies squarely at the feet of the modernist clergy who have betrayed their sacred duty.

i am probably the only person on this site who was forced to learn Latin to serve mass .
you had a senior alter server to make you learn sounds not words by rote -- the sounds were completely foreign and non intuitive --it was a misery for me and i was beaten for not making good progress .
nobody in the church could ever in their lifetimes translate the ceremony and the service was conducted with the priest facing the altar his back to us .
he then mounted a high pulpit to address us and i can say for sure in over 60 years they never said anything memorable or profound and i should be able to remember something but no i cannot remember a single sermon .
i served mass for the very famous fr mc namara who grabbed me one day in the graveyard and he slipped on the grass and stumbled as he fought for his balance .
i was 10ish and i had no idea of the danger i was in --but his face had pure evil on it and for some reason i ran --i told my parents and they asked me was i bold what did i do to upset him and that was the end of it for me .
my fellow server whose real name is Pa was molested and raped and he spent his life going in and out of st canices .
he lost everything including his marriage his physical and mental health and then his life .
My childhood was horrific --i was beaten to go to the devotions in the night 2 miles away in the rain and had to repeat what was said to prove i was there --all the shops in the town had to close on the important feast days/processions .
the clergy were presidents of the golf club--Gaa- everything that moved they had a finger in the pie --if you had an independent mind you would suffer big time from the taliban who ruled us .
you who miss the REAL church do not know what you are talking about --it was bizarre --try serving the priest at a churching and ask what is it and you are told she sinned by having a child and needs cleansing /churching .
it was mad because at the core of it were people who were insane with totally unchristian beliefs and who sold thousands of Irish people/babies for as much as the market would bear --aer lingus stewardesses were told they had to look after the infant and hand him over to the couple in America -----human trafficking -- no paperwork allowed to/ by aer lingus not even a postage stamp -- no records all cash .
i do not miss that church and i hope it never returns .
fr mc na mara was then sent to the west of Ireland where he was responsible for o Donnell killing a priest and Imelda Riney and her son in a wood .

No wonder you invite the utopia of an Islamic Caliphate. Do you work as a RTE features editor?

I'm not surprised.

Without getting personal, that Castlecomer guy is so anti-Irish he might as well be Charles Trevelyan.

What a loathsome individual.

Its a blessing given to women after they have given birth. Note that, a 'blessing', the way people talk about it now you'd swear they were cursed.

No disrespect Aul Lad, but I don't believe your experierences are at all typical. You get beaten when you dont know the Latin responses, and beaten to go to devotions etc etc?

Hamas could be doing with these lads over in Gaza. But they know that Irish Lefties have it covered by interrupting Mass.

Your experience sounds pretty grim and troubling Aul Lad, and it speaks to the broader societal brutality of the mid-20th century, a time when the world was a much harsher place to live all over the globe, both inside and outside the Church. However, it is vital to recognize that the severity you endured was not universal, nor is it an indictment of Catholicism or the Latin Mass. Abuses of power and harsh treatment were widespread during this period, especially in countries without a Catholic tradition, such as New Zealand and South Africa. These were failures of individuals and the broader societal structures of the time, not a reflection of the Church’s true teachings or liturgical heritage.

The Latin Mass, far from being oppressive, was a profound act of reverence and transcendence, designed to orient the faithful toward God. The failure to teach altar servers anything beyond rote sounds is a failure of catechesis, not of the Mass itself. Similarly, the abuses you describe, while abhorrent, are betrayals of Christ and His Church, not products of Catholic doctrine. The liturgy cannot be blamed for the sins of those who corrupted their vocations or for the societal flaws of that era.

The Church’s failures since Vatican II are impossible to ignore. Before the Council, the Catholic Church was thriving, with millions of conversions each year and a clear identity rooted in tradition, reverence, and discipline. Since then, it has been in a state of freefall, marked by dwindling congregations, moral compromise, and a liturgy stripped of its beauty and transcendence. Instead of standing firm as a beacon of truth, the Church has tried to conform to the world, becoming more cringeworthy and irrelevant with every passing year.

If this were a business we were talking about, the results would speak for themselves: the collapse in “customer loyalty,” the alienation of its base, and the hemorrhaging of its numbers would have led to the immediate dismissal of everyone in leadership. Yet, those responsible remain entrenched, doubling down on the very strategies that have driven this disaster. The Church does not need more modernist experiments; it needs to return to the tradition that once made it a force for conversion, sanctity, and truth in the world.

Shouldn't that be for conscientious Jews? 🤔

Professor Yakov Rabkin who headed the history department at the University of Montreal got battered by his fellow Jews trying to go to Shul in Ireland in the 2010s because of his views on Zionism which are a complex synthesis of humanist and Haredi. He remarked that he found characters like roc_ in general in some respects more extreme than West Bank Settlers. There is a new Chabad Synagogue in South Dublin somewhere near the Presbyterian Kirk in Rathgar (which is one I find aesthetically pleasing) which might be different but there is very heavy security around the Synagogues in Dublin. People know about the whole savage Prod thing about "Lundys" which these days thankfully is much more bark than bite (thankfully for me) but the whole "Din Moser" thing is on a completely different level and has always been even though savage Prods did murder their fellow Prods for Republican or Communist sympathies in the first half of the 20 th century and to a lesser extent after. I would not blame Jews here with humanist views choosing to keep them secret from others in their communities.

Well either way I think that Christians protesting at a Christian service makes sense and is ostensibly what happened

The Jews aren't too concerned with Candace Owens

Sword posted a whole article about it -

Post in thread 'US Politics.' https://www.sarsfieldsvirtualpub.com/threads/us-politics.197/post-120071

TLDR: She's a conspiracy theorist. Jews ❤️ conspiracy theorists

Note I did not endorse that article but I did think it was worthy of consideration.

Candace Owens appeals principally to small c conservative women without a proper University education and I think she can be particularly annoying to men who do have a high level of education and sophistication. That is not to necessarily dismiss her or her audience, after all it was this demographic in Ireland that really got opposition to the criminal insanity of Roderic O'Gorman. The thing is that conspiracy theories about Jacob Frank who died I believe a Faithful but very eccentric Catholic, the Church certainly considers that he died inside of Her, come out of Eastern European Rabbinic chauvinistic fanaticism and it's wild imaginings aimed a man who was admired by a lot of highly conservative Catholics in Poland at the time. Why mix in stuff that is at best impossible to prove (I would say worse- that is highly dubious) with hard things that are a matter of public record?

I have approximately zero interest in mainstream conservatism, people like Candace Owens, Matt Walsh, Piers Morgan and Paul Joseph Watson are the favourite philosophers of people like @Tiger

I'm a nationalist

She's a conspiracy theorist as in whacky, Macron's wife is a tranny, she's flirted with flat-earth (that got @Hermit very excited), if you're going to be an antisemite then also being a conspiracy theorist like that is gold to Jews. I play the game to win

I have no idea such questions never entered my head and i would presume they were so extreme a unmarried woman would have problems with the church --if you remember the teacher sacked just some years ago in new Ross for sleeping with her boyfriend /partner unmarried.

Archbishop Hilarion Capucci who was an actually senior Catholic Church figure was involved in hands on stuff with the PLO and actually served a prison sentence for it. During the so-called Iran hostage crisis he successfully negoiated the release of the hostages but than the French sabotaged it. Below is his wiki page- I will try later to find something decent about him in English.

you have it all wrong--the Latin mass was unintelligible even for educated people --it was deliberate and the people slowly freed themselves from their fear of the Latin speaking elite who clearly held them in contempt by not allowing each and everyone an understanding of the mass and religion .
slowly each aspect of the catholic church was examined by the laity and much was found to be criminal in nature -- and the policy of rejecting heterosexuality while bearing witness to the successful heterosexual church of Ireland with its female clergy in the same parish and attending the same public events made many Catholics examine the almost enforced homosexuality of the catholic church and wonder why this was seen to be a good idea .
any organization which has children in its care has to have a robust duty of care policy in place for its own and the children's protection .
the church with its joke ""celibacy"" clause which attracted deviants of every kind to paid employment did know what was going on for centuries and that is now visible to the laity and they wonder at the reason for it all -- no normal family person would run the catholic church the way it is run today and if you subjected a single person to these extremes privately you would be arrested in most countries .
the catholic church was a church when it banned usury -like the Muslims AND THE JEWS .
today in each city of the USA and Canada you can get A HEBREW LOAN --INTEREST FREE -the Jews have not abandoned THEIR mad Talmudic religion with its permission to kill gentiles and rape 3 year old children -- which make ours look like a harmless kindergarten .
the reason the catholic church has diminished is clearly their lack of interest in Catholics particularly ""ordinary "" Catholics in a western environment where they seem to offer nothing but trouble with their sick and weird practice of denying a priest a wife and family and i have been to church of Ireland services where a female priest spoke to us and i detected a fuller more substantial christian presence from this woman who had 3 children and a husband .
the first girl i dated Ruth S--- is now a church or Ireland minister and i treasure the time-- half a century ago -- we spent together today .
A HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL ON THIS SITE AND THANKS DECLAN FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK IN MAKING THIS SITE IMPORTANT FOR US ALL.

the first girl i dated Ruth S--- is now a church or Ireland minister and i treasure the time-- half a century ago -- we spent together today .
A HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL ON THIS SITE AND THANKS DECLAN FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK IN MAKING THIS SITE IMPORTANT FOR US ALL.

I’m sorry Aul Lad, but this reply is utter nonsense from start to finish.

I have attended Latin masses for several decades now, and I can confirm that it is incredibly easy to follow. I know more about the structure of the Tridentine rite than any ‘New Order’ Catholic does about the hippy 1960’s abomination of a liturgy.

My kids were able to comprehend the Latin text (which is side by side with English) by the age of 7.

I have no idea what you are talking about when you describe it as “unintelligible”. A complete idiot could follow and understand it.

from a complete idiot ---- i was reared in a mining village where 690 people were employed in a coal mine --it was fairly basic and violent at times -there were no photocopiers when i served mass and there were no books provided to many who could not read and the references / concepts and text used were for seminary graduates .
john r- aged 10 -- stood up and shouted at our very violent teacher ""im left off now"" and put on his coat and left my class in 1967 and went to work in the mines --because he had good sight and was nimble he was given a light job of picking wast coal which had just been crushed from the good coal -- he sat on an old metal tractor seat and had no shelter over the moving conveyor underneath .
its wonderful ((and i really mean that i am not being sarcastic )) that your 7 year olds can do as you say --but in our day we had nothing to read and we would not have understood the text if we did as you need it translated into modern concepts IF POSSIBLE /WHERE POSSIBLE .
You are on a trip with this its not real world to submit kids to complex concepts in TWO LANGUAGES AT THE SAME TIME.
sorry my intellect is not up to your high standards .
