Completely agree. The ultimate philistine is one who would destroy a beautiful tree without a care. I'd go so far as to say it feels like a personal loss when I see these great monuments of nature being decimated in the name of "progress" . Something that always sticks in my mind is a time I was travelling in the car with my father near Kilcock in Co. Kildare and passing a row of trees that had been chopped in half (on spurious grounds of "safety") and my father muttering under his breath, "bastards".

They also form the subject matter of one of my favourites poems:

The trees are coming into leaf
Like something almost being said;
The recent buds relax and spread,
Their greenness is a kind of grief.

Is it that they are born again
And we grow old? No, they die too.
Their yearly trick of looking new
Is written down in rings of grain.

Yet still the unresting castles thresh
In fullgrown thickness every May.
Last year is dead, they seem to say,
Begin afresh, afresh, afresh.

Near me are many trees, some hundreds of years old. None of them fell except two on my land which were about to be chopped anyways as they were nigh dead.
The trees protected us from the worst gusts and are the reason we all still have rooves.
I notice the barbarous chopping of lovely trees all over Tralee in recent weeks - no rhyme or reason apart from those confounded cancer sticks (5G lollipops) sprouting up like a plague.
Trees sequester CO2, especially in spring - if they were truly motivated by the nonsense they vomit from their mouths (net zero for 'climate change') they would PLANT trees, not chop them.
The joy they give on a spring or autumn day, the cool shelter in summer - yea we can't have that. The human cattle must be rendered as miserable as possible.

I totally agree with you Willows, the powers that be never let a crisis go to waste and it seems they are hyping up the trees things here. After all if you think about happened, very very few houses or structures were damaged because, I would suggest like you, the trees broke the wrath of the storm. So ifyou have no trees for the next one you will in turn have no roofs.

I hate any felling of trees, I have a massive oak tree that must be hundreds of years old on the edge of our land, and no storm could ever take it out. Repeated lighting strikes may have an issue on such a tree regards anything happening to it, but this is rare.

In urban areas, like Dublin as example, for no good reason I could see, they are trying to remove trees, and I have thought a reason for such was 5g, as it does have an effect on such, even the leaves of the tree. But this isn't the issue here.

A primary of trees effect regards land, is the roots, it holds the land together, especially on any form of hill side. The wind break is only if they are at a certain distance to you, where again, you need to understand basic bitch stuff here. If it can fall and hit your property or an electric line, it should be removed. Any other such thinking is effeminate at best.

I have an ash forest at home, and it is fucked regards the die back. Most of it is firewood regards any use regards cutting it down, at some point it will rot, where I want to let it continue to grow as a forest. But this thought process of ah sure let it be, is again a notion of either greed if you have a forest you are looking to sell or muh tree, it didn't harm anyone for now, which is a queer/effeminate thought process, and is an example of why we are where we are as a nation.

If a tree is a problem regards risk, cut it in half at best, or just remove it, and take the hit. This is how a rational man thinks on such, not a greedy man, or a women, a rational man that is not looking to gamble, and if ye are looking to gamble, the risk is on you alone.

Poor Lady Willow weeps and Sparky breaks his hole laughing.

Is that the difference between men and women? Or just between a classy person and a neanderthal?

Sorry, but this is hilarious.. And everyone knows your eh, condition..

"One of my trees fell into the neighbour's garden taking the wall with it. I only noticed it yesterday!

The neighbour is away."

So your house is falling down around you and you only noticed it a week later.. and your neighbour is away (so he couldn't tell you or complain)

Yep, you wrote comedy. It may not have been intentional but it was comedy nonetheless :)

Asking somebody ~ Where they are from is showing an interest in them.

When you meet an Irish Person that you don't know ~ ~ One of the first things you do, is ask them where they are from ?

It's just showing an interest in some one !
I don't really care

She shouldn't be here and she most certainly should not be allowed to be a subversive

I am just pointing out that ~ ~ Everything ( even a most basic human interaction ) is used as a weapon !

It just goes to show how nasty this whole Mass Immigration shit-show is !

3.5 years (reduced from a headline sentence of a whopping 7.5 years) for throwing a bag of rubbish at the Gardai and a fire extinguisher at a car, kicking an abandoned bus, and robbing a few pairs of runners.

5.5 years for one of the guys involved in this:

I'll be interested to see if massive sentences will be handed out to all the foreign rioters/looters.

i can say with certainty this is true i had 2 trees down beside my house .
it ripped skylights from a building i have beside me and the ones facing the wind survived but as the wind passed over the apex of the building it sucked some of the skylights off the building roof .

Reading through that it appears that the UK is just a proxy for the US once more. It is GCHQ that wants to intersect the signals and that place is just another American base dressed up as something jolly and British to keep the natives happy.
Yes that was mentioned.
The irony is put in a back door.
Other rival countries can break into the system and comprise the security services.
