One thinks the real RU objective is to harvest as many washing appliances as they can. It's the only consistent thing they have done after all. Other than shooting POWs.
There's no need for them to panic, there'll be more washing machines for them in the towns and cities up the road too. Enough for all the little babushkas in Russia.

Another shower of idiot's cashing checks they can't cover.
The reality dysfunction occurring throughout Western Europe is genuinely frightening.
The planners.
Are doing what they are told.
It's a hypothetical table exercise.
To keep the superiors happy
They don't expect personal consequences
The fate of Europeans is of no importance.
In all of the above.
And politico!
Nuff said.

Which is it?

I'm surprised that a nasty authoritarian dictatorship allowed 1000 people to go the funeral.

alot of people had their washing repair man coming that day..
When this awful tragedy for all Slavs is done.
And the sooner the better.
Washing machines and their components will be the ruination of western Europe.

12,000 would suggest an even more nastier and more authoritarian dictatorship than we first thought. This mad man must be stopped. By somebody.

That crowd looked to be 5 to 10 thousand so I would say that it was not that far away from 12000.

1 in a 1000 people turned out!!!!!

1) This "small town" has been used by Ukrainians to shell Donetsk for nearly 10 years. Most of the civilian casualties in Donetsk are from shelling from Avdeeka.
2) It was the most heavily fortified place in the whole of Ukraine. Last 8 years Ukrainians poured thousands of tonnes of concrete into Avdeevka where bunkers with 3-5 meters thick walls and roof is the norm. No comparison between the Surovikin line with Dragon Tooth and the trenches. Effectively Avdeevka was the modern-day Maginot Line built with help from NATO advisers
3) Even if there are still places where Ukrainians can hit Donetsk all of them mostly on open field, Now Ukraine won't be able to use field artillery and hide it in specially built bunkers. Shelling from the open field will make it easy for the Russian army to counter and suppress artillery fire from UAF.
4) It was defended by the most motivated Nazi units. Most of the Ukrainian PoWs taken in Avdeevka were serving a few years. Not like in the summer counteroffensive where most of PoWs were conscripts sent ahead to clear the path for more motivated units.
great post

I believe that being hit by debris was also a problem for the Spitfires, so the RAF developed the habit of flying alongside and tipping them over with their wingtips, this upset their gyroscopes and they would plunge groundwards before reaching their target.
an aussie was the first to try and he succeded

Thanks for admitting that.

Of course it's undeniable.

To be fair, it's not just a Russian thing. Who can forget these "very fine people"?

Apparently it has been acknowledged by the German government that the event did take place.
And they are investigating the "security breach "
Could it be possible that the Germans did this to remove themselves from the conflict?
Embarrassing themselves to prevent more involvement that would lead to direct risk of confrontation with Russia.
These guys will be dismissed and that's that.

"This is the first time that we have seen documents like this reported in the public domain,” said Alexander Gabuev, director of the Carnegie Russia Eurasia Center in Berlin. “They show that the operational threshold for using nuclear weapons is pretty low if the desired result can’t be achieved through conventional means.” Russia’s tactical nuclear weapons, which can be delivered by land or sea-launched missiles or from aircraft, are designed for limited battlefield use in Europe and Asia, as opposed to the larger “strategic” weapons intended to target the US. Modern tactical warheads can still release significantly more energy than the weapons dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima in 1945."
Because it is obvious that it was fake written by idiot, who doesn't know geography and can believe in a scenario where China can destroy Russian nuclear subs hiding under the ice of the Arctic Ocean without having any single base there

Saw this on another site.
Sums up the total hypocrisy that's western world media priorities.

"We can massacre 30,000 Palestinians, we can massacre 1 million Iraqis, we can massacre hundreds of thousands of Yemenis, there is no problem, but a Russian pro-American crook dies in a prison, it becomes a cataclysm on a global scale. These values are not shared either by the Western peoples despised by their leaders in their majority or by the rest of the world."

It's been the part of the shill's armoury since Charlottesweb, and possibly beyond. CW was always at it, the whole entity, including Kangol, is just a spineless miserable piece of something organic that slithered out of a damp toilet wall.

This is a frankly astonishing and particularly stupid comparison to make.

Pretty much every tank will have a better cannon and armor than an IFV, unless you want to do something stupid like compare early stage WW2 tanks to the latest IFVs. That's not the point or function of IFVs.
Which latest IFV?
The concept of IFV as tracked APC with light tank firepower was dead a decade ago after Syrian war
Israeli Namer is a Mercava chassis without a turret. US abandoned any development tracked APC and concentrated on the development MPF light tank which will have weight 38 tonnes and 105 rifled canon(M10 Booker), which is not far from 34 tonnes and 100 mm rifled cannon of T-55
Modern day APC can do a better job as a taxi and the light tank will have better protection and firepower than APCs

It banned everyone's accounts not 2 months ago and almost closed the site down yet Declan thinks it's wanted or needed on here.
Desperate times.

This is astoundingly stupid.

That's the the whole point of why hunter killer SSN subs exist.
a) Killer subs are useless without air support. Planes should seek enemy submarines first Arctic Ocean is too big
b) Chinese killer subs can only sneak to Arctic Ocen through the narrow Bering Straight with very little chance of being undetected. Another option is 20000 leagues under the sea through the Atlantic Ocean - good for Hollywood, bad for real life
c) China has only 6 killer subs vs Russian 17 killer subs and 10 ballistic missile submarines

What?
I think that's fair enough, women should be given the opportunity to be blown up just as men are. No doubt the ladies will be stepping forward with energy and enthusiasm to demonstrate their equality, although, in this case, they need to be a little more careful in just where they do step.

On the subject of tanks.

I sat up for this last last night and the point was made that the first tanks were considered wonder weapons, game changers that were going to bring the Great War to an immediate end, which, if nothing else, tells us that the UK government was as active in propaganda dissemination then, as it is now.

Yet they weren't, they were just another tool and boots were still needed on the ground, and the same applies today. We are told to get excited by the arrival of the Leopards or Abrams, but have they made any great difference, has Russia collapsed at the sight of them?

Not at all, so I rather think all this puffery of chug chug machines that go bang bang is rather schoolboyish and we need to get away from marveling at them and focus instead on what is being achieved by either side on the ground, and it doesn't look good for Zelensky.

Dude. Please. Enough with the mumbo jumbo intellectualising. You're embarrassing yourself.

A T-55 is a tank. It can only carry troops desant. APCs/IFVs offer troops protected mobility.

The fact that a T-55 has better armor and firepower than an APC or IFV is a bullshit comparison.

T-55 is a tank. A old, totally outmatched design, even for Russia, who designed several other lines of tanks since.

Also the Russians didn't abandon the concept of IFV either, did they?

Why? Because when you have no vehicle mounted weapon to provide supporting suppression fire for your dismounted infantry, this happens.

The ability to carry troops at the expense of size and reduced armor is not working well.
This is why T-15 is copying Namer idea to use chassis from MBT and reduce firepower
It is still tank but without a turret
APC's are a cheaper way to deliver troops leaving the job of supporting fire to more protected tanks
And T-55 with upgrades can do a better job than BMP
