What is the relevance of this today? The Taoiseach(prime minister) and Tánaiste ( foreign minister) recently tweeted on X, congratulating a musical ‘artist’ called Bamby Thug. She is an Irish singer who is going to represent the country in the Eurovision Song Contest. The reader by now is disappointed. He looks up the artist in question. He sees that she is mentally deranged. She screams like a wild animal at press conferences. She says she is “queer”, and she wants to convert the world to witchcraft. Why, the reader will enquire, has the register of our enquiry, descended from lofty disquisitions about the meaning of music to commentary on pop culture?

Obviously, popular music does not belong to the same category as classical. Pop music is the repetition of simple constructions. Classical music is the composition of complex structures. But the kind of question we want to ask here is best expressed in French: Bamby Thug de quoi est-elle le nom? What does Bamby Thug's name mean or signify?

That's what the Muslims do. A lovely park near me called Newbridge estate started seeing Muslims coming a few years ago, with the men putting on barbecues and the women huddled somewhere else. Now the park is practically all Muslim at the Summer weekends.

I can see the smoke from the barbecues in that Powerscourt video too.

The scum that did this to our beautiful Country need to hang.

I understand all that Sir but as per your original post, the man knew he was dealing with savages and that they'd flood Europe, rob her, loot her and rape her women & children if they were allowed.

He kept his horde at bay until the Americans toppled him and now the savage is in our midst.

God be good to him. He warned us all.

I remember years ago stories about refugee camps in North Africa, maybe Libya. Have they all been emptied.

New EU figures raise fresh questions about the Government’s enforcement of immigration legislation as they reveal Ireland had proportionately the highest number of non-EU citizens found to be illegally present in an EU country last year.

Figures published by the European Commission show the rate of illegal immigrants recorded in the Republic in 2023 in relation to population was over 10 times the EU average.

A total of 1,485 non-EU nationals were found to be illegally present in Ireland last year – an annual increase of 20 per cent.

They represent 28.9 illegal third country nationals per 1,000 Irish inhabitants – the highest per capita rate among the 27 EU member states where the average was 2.8 per 1,000 citizens.
