In that very part of the world as we speak and find a complete denial of it all, to outsiders anyway. It’s all business as usual and should one mention the economic situation then it is noted that opinions vary and that is the end of the conversation.

Following on from my post above I am rather coming to suspect that German industry had, in its arrogance, decided that a greater prosperity lay in promoting the great green revolution and making billions from the engineering required. Unfortunately, that plan is now unravelling and it's world is falling apart as China is scooping up whatever winnings there are.

Seen through this prism all sorts of things start to make sense, for instance, Trump attacking climate change as a scam completly undermines the plot and drops Germany deeply in the poop, as we are seeing.

We might also allow the notion that China was considered a partner in all this, yet it has decided to do whatever serves its own purpose, and if that means dumping on the Germans, and the Russians, then so be it. It has the west by the balls anyway now that we have handed all out manufacturing over to them.

German leaders of industry and politics do as they are told... and the populace has been propagandised into catatonic stupor.
It suited the powers that be to let Germany come up again after WW2 for various geopolitical reasons.. But now it has served its purpose and is now being finally strangled to death, as was always the intention. But not before the last squeeze of the juice is wrung from it - LNG from the Americas at 10x the price. Untold money to Ukraine etc etc
There is a reason why against all International law there has never been a Peace Treaty - 80 years after the fact.
I have said it before - Morgenthau in 1945 would have been kinder ( despite the unbelievable cruelty inherent in it, still than what we are witnessing now ) - but there is no kindness in THEIR nature, only cruelty - you know who I mean.
And this whole thing will drag us all down with it, this time - only with millions of hostiles already here.

Or are they...I read somewhere all the top dogs like Merkel have large holdings in South America. No one could be that stupid? Or arrogant? They are trying to switch their steel smelters to RENEWABLE/ green rather than gas or coal. China is laughing so loud I can hear them from here.
The biggest (European, used to be worldwide) industrial fertiliser producer BASF near Frankfurt is unable to keep up production without gas from Russia.
Fertiliser. No fertiliser no food in these parts for the amount of mouths we have.
Gröningen gas field closure is another blow in this regard.
Don't tell me this whole thing wasn't strategic.
Dark times ahead.

With regards to the automotive industry I think it was a question of greed and arrogance. The companies just got too big and in seeking ever bigger profits they saw a switch to EVs as the golden goose that would represent the ultimate in built in obsolescence, so they rounded up the politicians, surreptitiously backed the greens and staged a fake 'discovery' of emissions fiddling, and the rest is history.

Turned out though that people do not want EVs however much marketing you throw at them and the Chinese were well ahead, plus they have control of the materials required to build the batteries.

Cock up or conspiracy? I think it a bit of both.

The whole emission scandal blow up originated in the US - yes the European car manufacturers fiddled the numbers, but the Nox limits were and are unattainable..and non-sensical. The switch to EVs is also a consequence of the fake climate change swindle.
There was and is a concerted effort to destroy car manufacture and heavy industry in Europe ( Nordstream2?)
I see arrogance in Europe - but ill will from those who run America, our beloved allies. I could be wrong, ofc. Not an expert.

European and American emission standards have been more or less running in parallel for 20 odd years now with the current set being known as Stage V here in the EU.

NOx emissions are a product of temperature and pressure in a diesel engine, and the higher the compression ratio the greater the likelihood of them being formed. But the higher the compression ratio the greater the engine's efficiency thanks to the second law of thermodynamics. The way forward is to treat the exhaust gas with urea, or Adblue as it is more commonly called, which chemically reacts with the NOxs in the exhaust and so removes them (almost) completely.

real world--- i received a letter from the NTA informing me there was a meeting which i was obliged to attend and give account of how soon i would be fully electric with the buses on the routes .
somebody forgot to tell them i had surrendered the licences in 2022 on all our routes.
i wrote to them thanking them for the letter and i pointed out the licences were gone but i was willing to attend the meeting if invited and i would inform ALL present that when i submit my Volvo buses for test they have to manually input a figure as i will not receive a test cert unless the emissions test is passed -- AND BECAUSE THE ENGINE DOES NOT EMIT IT DOES NOT REGISTER AND THEREFORE A MANUAL FIGURE MUST BE INSERTED .
i was thanked for my contribution and i said i don't expect an invite and there was a laugh and good luck goodbye .
most modern engines do not emit and there is no excuse for forcing people to buy these electric environmental bombs .
which cost a fortune and destroy the environment being built and disposing of them .
when they catch fire even the water has to be processed .
the world is waking up to the scam and you cannot sell a 10 year old electric car and many car dealers will not take a electric trade in .

I think I mentioned it before but I heard from a source which could probably be trusted that an online auction for dealers to shift used EVs had been organised here in Ireland. It did not attract one bid for any of the lots.

It is merely a vehicle for speculation. Considered an outmoded technology now, and the transaction fees and times are too high/slow/. Personally, I feel it was rolled out to get people used to the idea of government digital currencies. There will be a massive propaganda campaign against 'unregulated' currencies, once the big crash occurs and people have lost their shirts. The fact Bitcoin was allowed to exist at all in the financial sphere is proof positive that it was a psyop.

Good point, but it involved only a tiny fraction of the population. If digital currencies were to be normalized then wouldn't some sort of scam which embraced far more people be thought up?

bitcoin is a commodity of value --like all other commodities it is used for speculation --i once spoke to a haulier who had a contract hauling bananas from cork for years and he said only the day before docking would he know which ship and how many loads as the cargo could be sold 30 times from the time it left central america .

Most people are aware of Bitcoin now. I think that is enough, once a few stories of massive financial loss make the media rounds, the fear factor will be there. I think this also needs to work in tandem with a regular currency crisis, to sell the transition to CBDCs.

Bitcoin is pure speculation is the point. Real commodities have real world application, usage and some degree of intrinsic worth. Bitcoin was never secure, or secret as it was originally sold. The Blockchain ledger recorded every transaction and is easily read by those with a will to do so. Precious metals, in your hand, is the only escape from currency wars. Currency is not money after all.
