Declan, what did you see in Hungary that made you think he would lose? He was big buddies with the Israelis, but he seemed to have Hungary in good shape.

The tour guide who I had was about 40 and he told me Orban was done, he was corrupt.

I got the same story from a driver I had.
 
After 16 years in power = = Every Political Party would become Corrupt.

A lot of them even start corrupt.

Power Corrupts, and the longer People are in Power, they become more corrupt and certainly their political party ~ On the off chance, a leader or a few at the top were not corrupt there would certainly be plenty of corruption in any political party.

A lot of politicians are in it for themselves ~ Some may even do some good, while being in it for themselves.

Politicians know politics go in cycles and even if you have done a good job, you will lose in the end. Many of them justify their corruption by convincing themselves that they " Deserve " as much as they can possible take out of it.

Yea, d'you know what, I used to think he was a great saviour to his People and possibly all of Europe. But now I lean towards him being the usual limited hangout... the hero 'they' provided.
Still endlessly preferable to that EU creature the young fools put in.
As ever though - if voting changed anything, we wouldn't be allowed to🙄
