While not trying to put people off their celebrations, I was wondering, does anybody remember a more ominous holiday season than this, from the point of view of the possibility of WWIII?
24th December 2025, A few days after the event, the United States government announced that they had blown up on this day dock facilities at San Francisco, near Maracaibo in Western coastal Venezuela. This is a country said to have millions under arms, in their militia at any rate, and is closely allied to Russia, China and Iran.
29th December 2025, The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu met President Trump in Florida particularly to discuss its relations with Iran. Prior to the meeting the former has been touting the degree to which Iran is developing its nuclear program, even highlighting that with advanced missiles (which to a large extent Iran possesses) it could target US cities. Because of this its widely interpreted that he was seeking clearance or assistance to attack Iran.
Iran and Israel are two either nuclear or nearly nuclear countries. They demonstrated in former attacks that both have the capability of directly attacking each other, Iran via missiles and Israel via aircraft, either of which could easily at some point carry nuclear weapons.
29th December 2025, The Russian government state that their President was targeted for assassination at his residence at Valdai in Novgorord Oblast in Russia, by a swarm of about 90 drones, at a time when his location was known, because he was on the phone, or waiting to be called, with President Trump at the time.
If it happened, and the Russians are adamant while the Western powers say they want proof, it could easily escalate the current Ukraine war further into Europe, if the Russians blame NATO rather than just Ukraine for the attack. Even if that doesn't happen, whoever thought this was a good idea presumably was trying to escalate things, and could therefore try again maybe, possibly by an attack on such as Kaliningrad?
30th December 2025, The island of Taiwan does not need to put on New Year fireworks this time, because suddenly China announced that they were doing military exercises around the island on this day and the next, including entering Taiwanese territorial waters. This includes an armada of 25 naval ships and a swarm of 77 fighter aircraft simulating an attack on the island from all sides, including live rocket launches. As well as putting the powerful Taiwanese military forces on high alert, this territory is close to an island chain owned by Japan but claimed by China, two countries in the midst of a heated diplomatic war in recent months.
Anyway it just seems somehow that things are hotting up.
