Opposition to mass migration, particularly to an IPAS centre to open in the building to the right of the picture, has been growing in Dundalk over the last few weeks. However this opposition is, like elsewhere in Ireland, under considerable pressure.
Sinn Fein, the most globalist and controlled of the big Irish political parties, has its Southern base in the town, which was represented for quite a while by Gerry Adams. It, and a host of other very small left wing parties, are determined to destroy this opposition and have been bussing in whomever they can collect to drown out the opposition rallies which have been held each Sunday there for the last few weeks.
This has culminated into a battle of the sound systems, the Nationalists have some good speakers, supplied by the Irish People Party, and on the other side a musician by the name of Jinx Lennon (wearing his tinfoil hat) started up his loud speaker system anytime he saw a Nationalist trying to speak. So the Nationalists couldn't be heard, and since it seems the Gardai will no longer let them go to the square to make their speeches, the powers that be have now drowned out free speech in Dundalk (which is openly stated as one of their aims).
Because of the overall success of this anti-mass migration movement in Coolock (the stand there is much admired, even internationally now) the powers that be are putting a lot of pressure on: they tried a media pile on onto the Coolock group for supporting a similar movement in the North (perfectly reasonably); they have their agents creating as much chaos as possible in the various 'No' groups, including in Dundalk; events in England are used to paint everybody involved as generating 'violence' (usually instigated by the 'guardians of the peace' in fact) and are driving some people away on that basis; as well as intimidation where they claim anybody can be arrested for just being at a protest; and now they are mobilising whoever they can round up among the various left wing, student, or NGO type organisations.
This is encapsulated by the difficulties in Dundalk, but I think our side are still ahead. For example a tweet by Tracey O'Mahoney proclaiming 'Ireland for the Irish' has generated 25k views in just a day (

), and a tweet by @CilComLFC on the anti-mass migration march in Limerick (

) 587k views [no, not a misprint!] in two days. Twitter has been a no go area for the powers that be for a few years now but these figures seem to be growing, and the views of anti-mass migration activists are solidifying in the sense that are beginning to say that this is about race, in the sense that Ireland out to fight to remain predominately full of Irish people.
So we have them worried anyway!
