Boards.ie may have only weeks to live

Seems a few muppets are happy to pay for what is generally a very small cost to run a site.

For a site the size of boards it would cost between 500 - 1000 euro a year to run.

They are looking for 2000 subs at 6 euro a month, thats 12k on top of ad revenue!

144k a year!

Yes, they have just one paid member of staff, Mike (who bans and deletes me all the time), likely on a salary of 90k.
What sort of job is that? Where is there the challenge or progession in weilding a blue pencil, unless he is on some sort of full time power trip.

Amazongly boards.ie survives, after pocketing 32k from the gullible loyal boards.ie fans they have somehow managed to stay alive for another 12 months, just in time for another begging bowl to be put out this time next year!

LMFAO @ all the turbo normies who donated.

Even if Boards dies its spirit of dickhead moderation lives on through Reddit. I never comment on r/ireland but I just got permabanned after my first ever comment. It was trollish of course, I called someone out for racism but in a jokey way, pretty tame really. Within minutes my comment was locked so no one could reply to it, then deleted completely later. Same shit on Boards, mods locking threads so no further conversation can take place.
