Denis O'Leary, a modern Irish mystic

After a chance meeting between this American Catholic youtuber, Alvaro Interiano of Uniquely Mary, and Denis O’Leary’s son in Rome a few months ago, Denis was featured in these two long interviews. The takeaway from this is:

– He is now 81, lived all his life in Whitegate in Cork and spent 33 years in the Irish Light house service.

– He first visited Medjugorje in 1990 and felt he had entered heaven. This was because drink was only a few pence and that, and drugs, were his big priority at the time!

– But he visited it the following year and went to confession there to a priest who could read his soul.

– Then he started to receive messages (called locutions) from Our Lord, but at first this scared him a lot because what with all the drink and drugs he had taken over the years he was very worried he was losing his mind, and that others would think so as well. Nonetheless he took down these messages, showed them to a priest and in time he saw visions of Our Lord on the cross and souls trying to progress through Purgatory (and aided not at all by their own efforts but by prayers and masses said for them), and for a few months the stigmata on his hands.

– After that Our Lord left permanently and was replaced by apparitions of Our Lady but after some time that stopped also and instead he is visited almost every night by St Maria Goretti, a very young Italian saint who died as a result of rape and sexual assault. Also he still gets pain in his hands sometimes, like the stigmata except it has no visible marks and the pain comes when Catholics receive Holy Communion unworthily, i.e. in a state of mortal sin (which is true of everybody, basically, if they haven’t gone to confession recently), with the pain being a reminder to him to pray for them.

Its very curious that this Irish mystic would have those two latter experiences particularly, maybe its a particular problem in this country, Catholics taking Holy Communion who haven’t gone to confession, and St Maria Goretti’s appearance is surely a sign that Our Lord is worried about the degree of sexual impurity in the very young, which some would say is even imposed in schools here now.

Lift up your hearts to Me and I shall bless them with an abundance of graces. Let your hearts be open to Me. To be open your hearts must be truly innocent. A guilty heart is a closed heart and tries to hide. How easy it is to teach an innocent child. There is no contamination there to thwart your instructions. So it is with an innocent heart. It shall absorb easily My divine influence. What a joy it is for Me to find such receptacles for My Father’s graces. Through open hearts I shall heal the world.

My people, have you not yet realised that the time for your judgement is so very close? Allow Me to enable you to come in purity to My Heavenly Father. Reject all that is contrary to the Divine will. Though Satan shall try to drown you in the sea of impurity, I offer you the gift of love, to help you to reach your rock safely. You shall never fathom the depth of the love of your triune God. If you could understand you would be compelled to be sinless. Trust Me that this is so. My love is beyond human comprehension. All I ask is that you love your God with as much love as you are able to muster within your human capabilities. Purity of heart and body shall be the core of your love. Embrace this core through the Sacrament of Reconciliation which is offered to you freely. Peace shall then be yours.

How sad – many of My apostles have become like Judas. They are betraying Me by betraying My church. Do not seek hidden meanings in My ‘Peter’s’ instructions. My message is simple. It is to be understood by all, by the humble and the illiterate. My message is not cryptic. Do not twist and confuse its meaning. Woe to those who in this way seek to plunder the souls of My loved ones. The mighty hand of My Father’s judgement shall come like lightning upon them. Love your God – love one another. That is my command. It covers everything.
Satan’s army is strong. See the turmoil he is causing. He has placed his agents in the vital locations. There are many beasts in sheep’s clothing. Do not fear. Stand close behind Me. Depend totally on the power of your Jesus and receive the holy gifts of a mighty victory. Let faith and love be your weapons. Pray that your country may cease to sink into the ocean of sin. Pray for your leaders. Help them. Be understanding and loving, but be also firm. Do not make apologies when stating My truth. The wounds on My Body are beginning to shed My precious Blood again. Pain is causing My tears to flow. How sad. By dying for humanity I performed the ultimate sacrifice. My Father was appeased. But humanity it seems was not satisfied. I opened Heaven to you. For My sake claim your eternal gift. I continue to plead with My Father for His mercy. Turn to Him now and pray with Me.

Take heart as you go forward. Trust totally in Me. Satan wishes to do you a great injury. I promise to you My heavenly protection. Let there be no fear. Take freely of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. By so doing you shall disarm the demon. Allow My Mother into your lives more fully. Use her ‘beads’ as a great source of heavenly power. Satan recoils from them. He cannot bear their overwhelming strength.
Strive towards humility. Be careful! Remember that he who speaks of his own humility has already lost it.

Oh Ireland, how deep is the wound that you have inflicted on My most Sacred Heart. Pray especially for your leaders. Pray for the great exorcism of your country. Pray for your purification. Pray that you may be prepared for the Divine Justice that is about to come upon you. Let My Holy Eucharist be your strength in these grave times. Receive My Body and Blood often. Come to My altars to speak and to listen to Me. I desire your adoration frequently.
Pray the Rosary of My Beloved Mother. How many more times must we entreat you? It shall be your protection against all evil. It shall be especially protective during the great exorcism as many demons in their panic shall fly from soul to soul.
Trust in Me, your Lord Jesus. Come to Me now. To delay is foolish. Let Me claim you for My Heavenly Father.

Between the 23rd and 29th September, 1993
The Immaculate Heart of My Blessed Mother now moves towards it’s triumphant victory. See how the evil one reacts! See how anxious he becomes! See his workings as he attempts to finally capture the soul of humanity! See how vicious he becomes! My faithful ones...do not despair as you witness these events! They are but the signs of the imminent triumph of the Fatima Heart. Many of My new apostles already comprehend this. Let them accept the responsibility that accompanies this knowledge.
Accept your agonies with love, for they are the means by which you are being purified. Rejoice in the coming Victory! Go and gather the flock. Bring many prodigals to Me.
Be faithful to the Rosary. Satan cowers before it’s power. With faith in My Mother’s Rosary you shall be fearless. Rejoice all you who are holy!

Oh! My children! Please listen! My beloved Mother and I are speaking to you incessantly in these times. Some of you listen but so many allow the voice of Satan to obliterate all that We wish to convey to humanity.So many of My people give ear to the voice of the evil one and obey his commands. They have become the slaves of evil. So few listen to the gentle voice of My Mother as she invites you to follow Her to your Heavenly Father.

Soon shall be anew beginning. Soon My Father’s creation shall be reborn in great grace. Contaminated humanity and all that is revolting shall be cast into the furnace, allowing the earth once again to be as a paradise.Here I your Jesus will rule in Love.​

My Blessed Mother is in these times constantly pleading with you to divest yourselves of the satanic garb. I beg of you to listen to Her plea. So few! So few are listening. Some hear and yet do not believe! Satan is destroying Faith! Remain alert! Pray, pray that he does not steal this gift from you.

My new apostles! Be active in your witness. Words alone shall no longer suffice. I entrust you once again with the great mission of bringing many fallen souls back to Me. I desire especially that My priests, My anointed ones, would renew the promises that they solemnly made when I appointed them as shepherds to My flock. Let them take of the grace that My Spirit surrounds them with. Let them accept their responsibilities with serenity. Their reward shall be peace and everlasting joy. They who are under siege...trust in Me. I repeat...trust in Me.

The Holy Spirit moves among you very powerfully in these times. Great signs are being given to some. Great wisdom to others, and to others still greater gifts. My beloved Pope John pleaded with My Father for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. In His great love and unfathomable mercy He has given to you of His Spirit even more than you can or shall ever imagine. But alas! So few avail of His gifts. If only humanity would clutch that which He desires to present to you. If only you would open your hearts and minds to Him. Come! let Me coax you once again. I cry with Love for you. I bleed for your return.Avail of Mercy before it is ended.
