Across Europe countries are starting to build up their armies, however, due to the low take-up of people applying it seems they are now looking at drafting the public to fight their wars.

So far countries such as Germany,, Denmark, and the UK are considering and discussing drafting.

I get the impression that throughout Europe the voters are getting restless with their governments and while the politicians might have such notions actually implementing them is another matter entirely.

Finland and Austria are two that still retain national service, but using conscript armies in an offensive rather than defensive role will not sit well with the families of the youth involved.

To answer your question, I think a war between Russia and at least some of these European countries is quite likely soon, maybe within about 2 or 3 years. They are giving Russia a casus belli right now in so blatently assisting Ukraine.
