He talks a lot about how modern car repair makes no sense in terms of how problems can be diagnosed or tracked. Computer modulation has made it very difficult. New car techs are now trained with the plug-and-play method. Let the computer solve the problem and we don't have too think to hard. It has resulted in a general decline in capability and standards of repair.  The smaller guys are getting pushed out and the Big Dealership model is about getting the punters  in and out as fast as possible, further exacerbating the decline. Dealerships have very corporatized work models also that demotivates the staff. High turn over is common</blockquote>
