For a number of years now there has been an active, at least on facebook, Kells says No community, including organising a protest in the town on the migrant issue in 2023.
Today, Thursday 6th of February at 7 o'clock pm, a protest was organised against a new IPAS to be located in the business park just outside the town. This is to be on the old premises of Glass and Alu Cad limited, owned by Cathal Kerrigan.
Here is a portion of the speech made there by a long term activist on this issue in the town.
