Turns out he was a fat shite, Walter Mitty type.This is a wider point - and the shitlibs you see on sites like Reddit, Gaychat, Boards etc are a good example - but I think the most striking thing about the acolytes of "progressive" ideology is their complete rejection of any connection with the historical Irish nation: ethnic, cultural, social links that bond people and make a people what they are. So Indians here a wet week are as Irish as you and me; there are no cultural differences between Irish and non-Irish people; GDP trumps social cohesion; anything relating to the past is to be mocked and derided. The notion of an affinity with place, a people, is completely alien to them. Dublin in 2025, with almost no Irish people in the city centre, is far better than Dublin 30 years ago. I call them nation wreckers because their whole ideology is basically centred around dismantling any sense of nationhood.</blockquote>
