Jambo, you do realise that all these videos you watch on Telegram and Youtube are not a depiction of reality itself, they are a depiction of how
some person has chosen to depict reality?
And do you realise that invariably the people
you choose to depict reality for you, are afflicted by the same mind virus as you yourself have been?
That is not to say that these depictions are entirely a figment of their imagination.
To make their creations believable, they have to base them on something real, typically something salient, that hits you emotionally, etc.
But the question is
first whether it is a fair depiction of all places, and second, there is the question of cause and effect.
Now these questions are obscured deliberately by this certain type of person we have been speaking of - because first, they have this mind virus - and especially they understand the appeal that the
"white damsel in distress" trope has for people like you (i.e. your need to see yourselves as special, as heroes, to mitigate your deep inferiority).
For instance the above film might have
veridical resonance in a particular time and place like Rochdale 2004-2013.
But Dublin during any period?
No, there is no veridical truth in the film as applied to our own time and place.
Taking Rochdale again - what if you then undertook a serious analysis of cause and effect that drove the numerous personal tragedies that unfolded there? Well obviously, you would end up somewhere in Pakistan, looking seriously into the Mirpuri biradari clan, and certain cultural practices engrained there, etc.
As opposed to ending up anywhere near your own spurious and emotionally held theories about cause and effect, which would
not hold up.
In this respect Jambo you could wave this "Fair City" like film over people all you like, as a form of emotional blackmail, to try to make them agree that it "is" evidence of your theories, and stamp your little foot about it.
But Jambo, no one intelligent and with any integrity of mind is ever going to go along with you.
