I'm sitting in the front bench by the side, near the door.. and the light switch.So it got into my head - I wonder if I can turn the lights off and back on again without anyone noticing.. it became an irresistible urge.Anyway, they went out quite instantaneously (plunging the room into complete darkness) but the (fluorescent) lights took a bit longer to come back on again <img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="😆" title="Grinning squinting face    :laughing:" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/6.5/png/unicode/64/1f606.png" data-shortname=":laughing:" />"Jambo!""Moi? I didn't do it.""Out!"So I'm standing outside the classroom in the compound and normally the corridors are teeming with kids on their way to their next class but now of course they're empty. And as bad luck would have it, along comes my tutor, aww fuck, he can't possibly not notice me. So he walks over and asks me what's the story, I tell him what happened, he says - "Your shoelace is undone", I look down, and he clips me around the ear with the books he was carrying.. and then goes on his merry way.See, it's a fond memory because I knew that that was in place of having a note sent home (for bad behaviour) in my journal that week that would have to be signed by my mother. And that was a nightmare, my mother being somewhat hysterical  about these things. And I of course would never forge her signature, I'm an honest boy (maybe more on that later <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite1" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":)" />).The two situations are of course not comparable. My tutor was not a stranger and I liked him (and I think he liked me) and I also think that he was fairly suss to my situation at home at that stageOh and, as much of a genius as I am, at no point was I in secondary school when I was EIGHT FUCKEN YEARS OLD!</blockquote>
