New research from the ESRI has found that foreign-born residents are more likely to be employed, active in the labour market, and better educated compared to the Irish-born population.

The latest Monitoring Report on Integration has assessed the experience of migrants compared to the Irish-born population in the areas of employment, education, social inclusion and active citizenship.

It highlights that migrants also have lower incomes and are more likely to experience poverty and deprivation (14.5%) than Irish-born residents (11%).

The study found that migrants are also much more likely to be affected by high housing costs, with 37% of migrants spending more than 30% of their income on housing, compared to 9% of Irish-born residents.

The ESRI described the findings in relation to housing costs as "particularly stark".

The report is published jointly by the ESRI, the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, and the Department of Justice.

It is the latest in a series of reports that investigates how migrants in Ireland are faring.

Even if it were true, it doesn't matter. The reason why mass immigration is bad, and why it's universally unpopular in most countries, is because it changes the character of a country. It's the social implications that are important.

If you've grown up in a settled Irish community, and overnight you don't recognise the area, where you've gangs of loitering men and loudmouth arseholes on the bus - you're not going to give two shites if GDP has gone up a notch.

It's that sort of peasant minded, Fianna failure way of thinking, constantly being pushed by Pravda's and other retards, that has us in the mess we're in.

Did someone at the department want a report to favour Migrants in a headline? Why else was this report even asked for, and would we even hear about it if they couldn't promote their beloved migrants?

And as already pointed out and posted in other threads, lots of Ukrainians are getting all sorts of benefits whilst working!

I'm sure we would all love benefits, medical cards and receiving a wage packet each week!

In those figures, Irish-born have a higher employment % and a lower unemployment % across all age groups. Born abroad unemployment is double the Irish-born. Lots of asterisks throughout the report.

ESRI is playing its part in employing as many foreigners as possible:

It's like they just wanted a report so libtards can say look at how lazy the Irish are and how hard-working the immigrants are, immigration is great for the economy etc.
