Police in Brussels have ordered a right-wing political conference taking place in the city to be shut down, sparking outrage from speakers and guests alike.

With political heavyweights including Nigel Farage and former Home Secretary Suella Braverman in attendance, the National Conservatism Conference (NatCon) had aimed to bring together voices from across Europe to share their views on the continent's future political outlook.

A report in local outlet the Brussels Times had said "anti-fascist" protesters were threatening the venue with mass protests, and had demanded the event be called off entirely.

The whole "National Conservatism" Conferences thing is the brain child of Yoram Hazony.

He is unusual in that he is actually- or can be at least- actually intelligent as opposed to just smart and clever but he can also be a hysterical Hasbarist. His book "The Philosophy of Hebrew Scripture" I found really pretty brilliant though obviously we have pretty intense Theological differences. I have also read "The Jewish State- The Struggle for Israel's Soul" which is utterly hysteric though it points out how in the past at least there were these interesting hostile dynamics between Eastern European Jews and German Jews in Palestine which was kind of interesting if you are interested in the history of Zionism. I have his book on Nationalism somewhere around the place but I did not finish reading it because of the good points in it I had come across before and his hypocrisy was just too much.

I would not want him though as the gatekeeper of what is acceptable and what is not acceptable "National Conservatism" at all.
