Folks, I no longer post here because the place has become an intellectual wasteland, overrun by the barely literate and the proudly ignorant. I believe it was @PlunkettsGhost who, months ago, foretold that if Jambo were ever allowed back, he would lay waste to the site, reducing it to rubble. And so, it has come to pass. The forum is now dominated by two loudmouthed philistines who infest every thread, dispensing their vapid decrees on what others should think and like—this, despite neither having cracked open a book since the last time Ireland had a competent statesman. Serious discussion is a relic of the past. And yet, it was not always so. When James was banished for a few months, there was a golden age—harmony reigned, discourse thrived, and new contributors flocked to the site, enriching it with fresh perspectives. Now, those days are a distant memory, and we are left with the same four or five tedious repeat offenders, droning on in their self-congratulatory echo chamber. For a while, I amused myself by dismantling James, stripping away the last tattered remnants of his dignity like an inept magician fumbling his own trick. But even that lost its charm. In the end, there is no reason to linger. No one would waste their time with these buffoons in real life, and I see no reason to do so online. The Ballad of Buffoonery: A Tale of Two Halfwits There once was a pair illiterate, Whose logic was barely considerate. Long sentences made their poor heads spin, And deep thoughts? A mortal sin! With wisdom gleaned from a tabloid page, They preached like sages—dim with age. The Sun was gospel, big and bold, With stories aimed at six-year-olds. Their handler, Swords, the grand vizier, Whispered nonsense in their ear. A puppet master, grim and vexed, Regretting deeply her career in text. James, oh James! A scholar’s pose! A brain the size of a garden hose. He plays the wise, the learned gent, Yet spelling his name's an accident. Myles, his echo, smug yet dense, A proud defender of nonsense. He nods, he grins, he chimes right in, Like a parrot with a broken chin. Together they’ve slain the chat of old, Where wit and wisdom once took hold. Instead, they bicker, rant, and whine, Like drunks discussing vintage wine. Where once the forum buzzed with flair, Now four sad posters fill the air. The same dull takes, the same bad jokes, The same two clowns who irk the folks. So raise a glass, bid brains farewell, The site now rots beneath their spell. The thinkers fled, the fools remain, Illiterate still, yet twice as vain!
