Serious assault in Maynooth College

There was a serious assault in Maynooth college, obviously the site of Ireland's national Catholic seminary as well as a secular third level university, at c.6.50pm last Monday 3rd Feb 2025. A man in his 50s was hospitalised, and two other men injured, and a man in his 20s is said to have been charged with this assault this morning.

But in this Communist state we don't get any further details at all. However, rumour has it, the injured man is actually the Acting President of Maynooth College, Fr Michael Shortall, originally from Castlecomer in Co. Kilkenny. His predecessor, Fr Michael Mullaney, suddenly resigned last October.

If so it sounds like quite a serious matter that we ought to know more about.

Could this be linked to child abuse Sir? As in the father of a victim attacked the Priest?
 
Its amazing that you get a hate attack like this, with the President of one of Ireland's largest universities left with blood spewing out of his eye socket, and numerous others attacked in that University in daylight, and its like four days before any information is released. Even then they don't say he was the President of the College. That, as I stated, is Communist style media control, and the norm here: https://www.catholicarena.com/latest/ireland05022025 .

do you think this is sexual / atheistic / Islamic inspired thing? If it was the first i'd imagine that press would want emphasis it to garner ridicule for the church but if it is the latter two they want to hide to prevent sympathy
 
If you read the link, which I think is based on the Irish Times report, you can see that he asked Shortall if he was a priest, when he said yes he whacked him and then attacked him on the ground. Its clearly a hate attack against priests then, according to the report he justified it because they are supposed to be all paedophiles.
 
Some sort of Ninja Fighting Priests would be good antidote to this sort of thing ~ ~ Like the part Liam Neeson played at the start of gangs of New York !

I quite enjoy Catholic Priests ~ ~ Licking the Shit out of bad guys !

Thanks for posting this on DR SHORTALL and it is featured on google under his attack .
THE man who attacked fr Shortall and 3 others was stated by his father to be mentally unwell for many years and was never treated and he asked the judge to confine him to the medical wing of the prison and on no account should he release his son as he was too dangerous .
all of the people assaulted in Maynooth were attacked at random and had no connection and were unknown to their attacker .
this man damaged a door trying to break in to the college in order to attack others and is acknowledged by all concerned to be very unwell .
the judge was advised by Garda to have him medically assessed urgently and the judge complied .
it is a measure of the current times that this case was not treated with the level playing field respect it should have been and there is almost a collective media understanding that Fr Shortall or any other high priest HAD IT COMING TO HIM .
DR Fr Shortall has a doctorate in philosophy and in Kilkenny is held in high regard and there are no rumors or any concerns attached to his good name .
 
It is not correct to state they were attacked at random. He was asked if he was a priest. Had he the presence of mind to say he was not, he would not have been attacked.

attacked at random means what it says .
the attacker did not know anyone in Maynooth and was from co Louth .
Dr Shortall did not know the purpose of this mans inquiry and he may have needed a priest.
most priests would see it as their solemn duty to admit under all circumstances to be a priest .
it is some time since the times of SEAN NA SAGART who would claim to be dying to locals in order to make the locals to bring a priest to him in order that he could easily murder him and collect 10 pounds at of all places the LOCAL BRITISH COURTHOUSE .
5 pounds was paid for a teacher as the British knew most priests were educated in revolutionary France and they were therefore more afraid of a priest .
i detect a little lack of sympathy for Dr Shortall who would have been dressed in clerical garb when asked was he a priest and therefore the presence of mind of the attacker is the only issue here.
 
I have plenty of sympathy for the victim and believe he should have said no. This plan of being a matyrr is imo for the birds.

i doubt if he was in clerical barb.

but no way was it at random, he was targeting a priest.

His sexuality should in no way open the man up to attack.

However there is a high incidence of such occurrences among that community, particularly in Maynooth which is essentially a gay brothel.

In any event I hope he makes a full recovery.
 
I have heard a lot regards maynooth, it is a gay bath house regards the priests there, that is a fact from what I can figure out. There was a reason so many kids got fiddled by the gays that ended up in the priest hood. Not that such has anything to do with this lad, I do not know of him.

Is there a high incidence of violence in that Seminary due to jealousies arising out of such fornication with one another Sir?
