Arlene has many many business interests and heaps of tv work on GB news

The South started off a lot poorer than the six counties now it is a LOT better off- a major reason for that was the utter corruption of certain characters on the Orange side of the fence....Arlene launched her career raging against the 8 th and for "gay rights" in the South but ended up in the DUP out of sheer hatred of "themuns".

I always thought Arlene was ok. I remember her attending a GAA match in Fermanagh which was a nice gesture.

I'd cut her some slack, Swords. Her old man was nearly shot dead on the family farm by the RA and they bombed a bus she was on. It cuts both ways. Were I a bluenose and had I similar experiences, I'd likely have a hard-on for themuns too.

No. Plenty of people on both sides of the "Peace Wall" have had family members killed or maimed in Troubles, a mass amount of people, and if we all took her attitude than the place could really devolve into Rwanda in the North Atlantic. As these things go the Troubles was very civilized- nothing like the two major wars Algeria fought in the last century to shake free from France for instance. It could have been so much worse and therefore constantly belly aching about it, and this goes for both sides, is narcissistic at best. Also without the Troubles I am not convinced at all that she would have had that different an attitude towards "themuns". Violent conflicts are part of life and Arlene Foster is no pacifist- if she was a pacifist than maybe, just maybe, she would deserve more slack but she is not at all such. And if you think that sounds heartless I would argue that her going out of her way to sow more bitterness is much more heartless.

The three groups that in my life I have encountered that really excel at emotional blackmail are Ulster Loyalists, full on Zionist Jews and problematic Muslims (who for all their faults at least other Muslims will them regularly enough to shut up with), all of which have almost zero to zero empathy towards others outside of their "in group" to put it mildly, very mildly.

It is not a Republican Socialist party and has not claimed to be for a long time now. The Shinners though play on their past radicalism sometimes and you still have gobshytes on both sides of the border who think they are some dangerous Marxist-Leninists or something when in reality they are Fianna Fail mark two.

They don't?

Do you agree that Sinn Fein is not a nationalist party?

Well I don't see much of a difference between all of the main parties myself.

Tadhg always took great exception to the term - Cultural Marxism, the thing is, and I said it to him, you don't even have to include Marx (you only need to listen to Andrew Breitbart for two minutes (who popularised the term))

Naomi Long does not look healthy. How does a person let themselves go that extent (unless she has some condition?)
