Fk.!!!! Hope the poor lad survived. Remember that ship that went down of the coast of the Netherlands due to one of the electric cars it was transporting spontaniously combusting.
Not sure on the outcome but it looks bad. That housing still ha enough kinetic energy to lift him off his feet on impact and he appears to have turned his back into it. Broken ribs at the very least.

Agreed re the poor fellow who got knocked, I hope he gets to sue somebody big time.

The burning ship off the Netherlands didn't sink though, they kept pumping water at the sides to cool it down and eventually towed it into harbour. AFAIK It has not actually been confirmed that it was an EV that started it, not by the Dutch coastguard anyway.

However, EV fires remain an enourmous problem, yet one marine insurance body insisted on burying its head in the sand by declaring that new methods will have to be installed on ships to extinguish them, completely overlooking the fact that li-ion battery fires cannot be extiguished. Obviously the insurance world is terrified of losing business if it doesn't agree to covering this risk, but we will all be paying for the higher premiums eventually.
