All across the world, from approximately the 1970s, there have been allegations that some world powers have the capability of deliberately harming targeted peoples health via microwave and other radio type waves. Probably the beginning of these type of allegations were complaints from staff in the US embassy in Moscow in the 1970s and now the most famous of these allegations centres on the US embassy in Havana from 2016 on. Hence this is now known as ‘Havana Syndrome’ as described here by the BBC:
“A mysterious illness that has affected US diplomats in recent years has been linked to a Russian intelligence unit.
...
The phenomenon gets its name from Cuba’s capital Havana – where the first case was detected in 2016 – though the new report suggests the first cases may have happened in Germany two years earlier.

Other cases have been reported around the world, from Washington to China.

On Monday, the Pentagon said that a senior defence department official attending meetings at last year’s Nato summit in Lithuania had experienced symptoms similar to Havana syndrome.

American personnel struck with the condition – including White House, CIA and FBI staff – have complained of dizziness, headaches, difficulty concentrating and an intense and painful sound in their ears.

More than 1,000 reports of the mysterious ailment have been made, with dozens of cases still officially considered unexplained. US lawmakers have passed legislation aimed at supporting victims.”

There are vast numbers of theories out there about this, including what apparatus would be needed to create this condition in the target person/population (victims are sometimes known as ‘Targeted Individuals’ (TIs)), varying from some type of microwave device all the way to devices that may be placed on or use satellites, but hard definite facts are very hard to come by.

But what may be one specific example of this does not, it seems to this observer, get much publicity.

South Armagh Watchtowers

Starting about 1986 and reaching its peak maybe in c.1990, the British Army in South Armagh/Down decided to create a network of ‘watchtowers’ along the hills and high ground in this border region. They did this, we are told, for surveillance reasons, and they also combined them with helicopter pads which were very important for the army in that area, because the IRA had pretty much denied them the use of the roads.

But it seems these watchtowers had some further, top secret, aim, as you can see from this headline in the Belfast Telegraph and based on the release of government files on the subject:

Who knows what that secret use was but what is interesting for our story is that the local population always complained that there seemed to be a negative healthcare component to these towers:
“Locals believe this may be causing people to develop cancer and cattle to abort.
...
In 1985 the British Army took over the top of the hill behind them and built a watchtower. Next to it in one of the Donnellys’ fields the Army put up a pole with a red light on it which shines into their house day and night. ‘It’s terrible,’ Sean says, over and over again.

Emissions from the installations have burnt a row of trees beside their house. Marian shows me pictures of calves which were stillborn or had abnormalities, they suspect because of radiation.
...
First to protest were farmers near the watchtower at Glasdrumman, one of those overlooking Crossmaglen. They became seriously concerned when unprecedented numbers of cattle aborted, sheep died, and dead rabbits, mice and rats were found in ditches. Soon people seemed affected too.

Mary Allen, a popular local doctor, has helped to form the Campaign Against Radiation Emissions. She explains that in an area of about 15 kilometres radius, with a small population, brain haemorrhages and cases of leukaemia have been occurring in the last few years at a much higher rate than the national average.”

New Revelations

Only ‘conspiracy theories’ by an uneducated rural population, I hear a section of readers will say! However what’s interesting about all this is that now we have a former microwave expert, Barrie Trower who used to work for the Royal Navy, saying that:
“We microwaved Catholics in Northern Ireland, to make them sick.”
And I wonder if people would like to see the whole short video by him:

Does it seem so safe now to be so dismissive of these ‘conspiracy theories’?

No, I don't think so?
It's right up your street. I don't read books over 100 pages if I can help it but because health workers I have the height of respect for kept recommending it I read it. About 400 pages but didn't feel like it and the best book I've read in years. Have a look at reviews of it. I don't recommend books, vids yes, but rarely books as I'm not a great reader, but I do recommend this one. Great OP again aulstock keep them coming.
