There is only one thing you need take away from the current US political theater. The talking heads are telling us, with a straight face, that Trump and Harris are neck and neck in the polls. This is a woman who couldn't garner 1% of the vote in her primary. It is all fake and designed to get your blood up.

I think that might be giving a lot of people too much credit, the marketing of Kamala Harris has been quite clever and seems to have been bought up by the monkeys on the P.ie so I can find it believable that it is working on parts of US population to.

Well I think that pure democracy is probably only possible on a simple village level if even there however things can still be more or less democratic. I think a core reason why there is such bitterness in the whole Trump versus Biden or Kamala Harris thing is not because real meaningful decisions (Obama actually did more to tackle illegal immigration than Trump did) are at stake but because by supporting one side or the other people feel they are saying what type of person they are very much like teenagers engaging in subculture styles or the more savage Nordies supporting Glasgow soccer teams, and therefore they feel an attack on their candidate is an attack on them personally. Political arrangements are not ends in themselves but means to an end- viz the securing as much as possible of the common good. There is I think an error of many people now to make democracy an end, a good, in and of itself and than of course you also have people who do the same for Monarchy which I believe is equally erroneous.

The more details of this whole Russian agent scandal involving David Rubin, Tim Pool and Lauren Chen the more weird it sounds- and it sounded pretty damn weird from the first- and I cannot but help wonder whether they set up by people within their own Deep State. The actual links to the Russian Federation as a State seem incredibly tenuous.
