Yeah absolutely laughable, and really symptomatic of the infantilisation of every aspect of society.

But don't worry, Chief Mong is on the case:

Look at the way he's talking, like he's addressing a population of 5 year olds. And why is he dressed for tea and sandwiches at the local golf club??

When you consider that a full cabinet post of "minister for climate change " was established back in 2016, 9 years on they should be totally prepared for a bit of snow in January 🙄
Climate Change and bad weather helps them sell Climate change.

Thicko paddy forgets it winter.

Another thing that amazes me In recent years is when there is a bit of snow or ice in the mornings, the local schools either stay closed all day or don't open until 11am,
people who know nothing route large coaches on roads about 3 inches wider than the coach with steep hills and no where to pull in for a vehicle .
if you put a 19ton vehicle on grass /mud it will sink to the Axel and may turn over .
if you ask somebody to go down a steep hill with no grip they can lose their license and livelihood wreck a vehicle and put the co out of business and they may serve time in jail depending on the outcome .
i despise this colour coding of drama --yellow orange red but i am allowed to refuse to drive in a red and i am also warned by the insurance that if i take out a coach in a red warning i have no insurance .
this allows me some protection from teacher gobshits who care little what happens as long as it is not a problem for them .
schools which open have to get the pupils home in the evening if the transport is off--- this has disciplined the schools to take a little more care .

Had to laugh, just a few weeks ago he was telling farmers that the 'planet is on fire', now he is sat on his fat arse lecturing us all about a bit of snow!

Just where did they dig this clown up?

Oh just so we don't forget The Fear👻
I mean what is going on. A bit of snow and ice - just leave 15 mins earlier and fgs go slow. How DO they cope in Alaska, it is a miracle.
Having said that - if you have a Tesla or other pure EV - you might be goosed.
My diesel handles is all beautifully

Was trying to get to the station yesterday, five inches of snow and cars spinning to halt a whenever they tried to go anywhere. Even on the main Cork - Limerick road there was no sign of the council doing anything, although a lonely, and empty, gritter passed by with its blade set to knock the top off any big lumps rather than actually create a passage.

'They won't do anything until its a red warning' I was told by a neighbour who seemed to know about these things. If the roads are basically impassable for emergency vehicles and still nothing is done then what the feck is this warning system all about? Can't help but think its just another tool of coercion and control.

Or maybe all the money was spent fixing the pot holes in the run up to the GE and now nothing is left to keep the roads open, so the met office was told to go no higher than a yellow and feck those who need an ambulance.

Wouldn't be at all surprised
