There's a reason why it'be 'cheap'.
It will be cheap, so what, Kit it out like Eddie Rockets. Stainless steel mirrors. Can you discuss this by private message please.
In Ballyb you'd need chicken wire to shield your staff too. Stainless steel mirrors. I like your thinking, Val.It will be cheap, so what, Kit it out like Eddie Rockets. Stainless steel mirrors.

Oh, so it will be a private pub, then it won't be a pub under Irish law. Who will be drinking in it?Why???
I would not be running a pub open to the public
The bar stools will need to be bolted to the floor. Shivering, Tables too, No glass ware at all,In Ballyb you'd need chicken wire to shield your staff too. Stainless steel mirrors. I like your thinking, Val.
Everyone except @Myles O'Reilly and @free and cleanOh, so it will be a private pub, then it won't be a pub under Irish law. Who will be drinking in it?
Are we talking about Ballybunion?I had a man send me a video of downtown a couple of days ago. It was clean and tidy but strangly there was hardly a smell ngle person on the streets and only an odd car driving by.
it was about noon on Monday just passed
Wait. You banned Myles? Why?He's been sent to the gallows with Corporal O'Reilly, I'm afraid. Kangal for high treason and Myles for desertion.
Ah that's nice. It will be a great place for a quiet whiskey.Everyone except @Myles O'Reilly and @free and clean
@Kangal says he would do the bar to fill yanks with complete fiction
It's not Myles himself who is the problem, its the crowd he will bring in with him.Wait. You banned Myles? Why?
Yes. I'm El Cheapo. I used to buy a HOSTEL bed for 20 to 30 quid. A place to kip after going out. The other day I was quoted 100 quid. For a bunk. Well eff that. The price of hospitality has absolutely sky rockedted post "covid", I know a hotel that's now charging 850€ for a 3 nights stay, in 2019 the same 3 night stay was about 400€.

No, myles is not banned, but he appears to be on strike.Wait. You banned Myles? Why?
Courtneys is still for sale. In fact I believe that none of the ones I was following have sold and others have been added. And they will not sell as none are profitable . I was to make a decision in November but why rush. Ireland has s going down the crapper and the euro is going to be toast. I am reminded of the doorman in Weimer Germany that was tipped a gold sovereign from a rich englishman and he later used it to buy the hotel itself.Yes. Ballybunion.
i had a man stop by and shoot a video of Courtneys which is for sale
Sarsfielders ? !Operating as an actual pub, would not be my objective. It would be private, for example he select few only
Going down the crapper, yes the signs are there. Many established well run restaurants and cafés who are popular with their many patrons are now closing due to the 'cost of doing business' in the rip off Ireland.
Various taxes, rents, fees, wages, rates, insurance cover, increased energy(with more taxes included) and food costs etc etc etc etc have made it impossible for the businesses to make a profit.
Can you imagine being responsible for paying the bills?? Too many outstretched hands grabbing all the money which has taken your organisation of hard work day into night to earn and yet accounts are constantly dipping into the red, even though the place is full
Josie Bales ! ! !A fella called Eastwood they called him Clint Eastwood took over a failing pub in my town and lasted 7 weeks. He done a runner leaving an electricity bill of 30,000 yoyos.
how to make enemies in a small town .Operating as an actual pub, would not be my objective. It would be private, for example he select few only
If / When, Val becomes Taoiseach ~ ~ He will need us as advisors and hit-men ~ ~ And a place for us to meet up !Perhaps TD Val will be able to secure us a grant
I have no interest in reading Aul Lad's huge post EVER.Exactly correct Aul Lad. I had a busy place myself for TWELVE YEARS after which I sold and walked away. I have no interest whatsoever of dealing with the public again, EVER.
I just want it for myself and friends
That place could be a goldmine. Some foreigner bought land there and built it up. Ran it successfully for decades. Sold it to the Kilkenny Shop venture.
