I don't think though that in terms of domestic policy the US President has the same power as the French or even the Russian President. Their power is primarily in foreign policy- at least that is my understanding.

Certainly I'd say she is often under the influence of something, but I am not sure that it is alcohol.

I know there are a lot of election threads open but hoping mods will let this one run for 48 hours.
Just a small thread asking for each persons predictions on tonight's election results.

Will it be close? Trump or Harris to win by a proverbial landslide?

My own prediction is Harris wins and wins by more than we thought she could, i believe the female vote is going to go against Trump in ways they could never imagine and I also think they have underestimated the black vote.
Anyway, onto my prediction.

Harris takes 4 (5?) Of the swing states, I believe Arizona, Wisconson, Nevada and NC will go to Harris, I'm also hoping for a massive upset in either Florida or Texas.
Obviously the more EC votes the better and genuinely believe anything below 330 will be a bad night and give Trump room to call "rigged" elections.
I'm also out on a limb and say dems will have both houses but maybe that's just being overenthusiastic.
Please feel free to share your own predictions/thoughts and for those sad enough like me to be staying up through the night to watch the results come in I hope you have plenty of alcohol to see you through what will probably be the most exciting and indeed scariest election of our time.
 
How are there people that sfupid. Granted I dont expect to be as smart as this but I knew it was in the bag and started this thread hours before the polls closed.

poor kangal and Roc of course are heartbroken that once again I was right and they are of course totally clueless.
 
I decided to go someplace special to celebrate. A pound note to anyone that can guess where i will be in about an hour
