When I hear that I wonder why people even bother getting up in the morning.
I get it. Well, I don't actually. But I've got a cousin who's a bikie and that's more or less the argument I get from him. It's a way of life, I suppose.

I prevented my son from getting a motorcycle. He has two of these electric standup unicycles and one goes over 40mph

Y'know, there are actually a good number of people who need this worship of magnificence to give their own lives some purpose. Be it the Royal Family, Hollywood or Bezos and his bimbo they delight in it all and are happy to see their money go to support it.

Incomprehensible to the right minded, but 'tis the way of the world unfortunately.

Get him on a proper bike, it'll be better for him and the rest of the world in general.
That has merit at this stage now that he has gotten out of the real danger zone of 17 to say 25

I noticed we can only embed one video or tweet per post now - has that setting been changed by mods for some reason? We used to be able to embed multiple videos in a post.

I thought it was just me :)

That tally (of one) includes the post your replying to. I replied earlier to one of roc's posts which was an embedded YouTube link that I had to delete just so mine would embed

Too far gone. And he wouldn't watch anything I link because I sprouted two far roysh horns and a cloven hoof🙄
Tis funny ~ I am willing to listen to anybody's views on personal level ~ Like normal interaction ~ I don't even mind my views being questioned in such interactions because I am confident in my views ~ I know / hope that I am correct an some stuff and I know that I am wrong on some stuff ~ But I can handle been questioned / challenged. I often learn stuff and may even adjust my views. I certainly wouldn't lose my cool with people for disagreeing with me !

Some People are extremely fragile in their beliefs ~ ~ They can get very defensive and maybe even offensive ~ ~ This is because they don't really have strong beliefs in the stuff they think they believe in !

I was interested in politics from 13 / 14 maybe even before ~ ~ Maybe this was because some of my family had been in the IRA e.g One Grand Father was a sort of information-runner for the IRA. He was in the kind of job where he was cycling around the Country as a shop-boy collecting orders from shops ~ So he knew what was going on and was in a perfect job to carry information ~ His older brother was in the IRA ~ His Sister later married an IRA Man ~ His brother's son married the daughter of one of the Leaders of the IRA in the West ~ In fairness that side of the family had many connections to the IRA up to the IRA ( PIRA ) and even to the dissidents if you go out to extended family ~ My grand-mother on the other side was in Cumann Na mBan ~ She would have been hiding IRA Men and IRA Arms, or so my mother told me anyway ~ ~ ~ I suppose when you are in that kind of family you are a bit more interested in Politics than a lot of People, though my Father or Mother and none of my siblings ( including me ) were involved with the IRA.

You have to be following Politics for a long time to have a good understanding of what goes on with Politicians / Politics and even then you may not be correct.

What could you even say to that. One of my relatives still flies that damn flag at his house. 😵💫
This is kind of par for the course though, industry goes on during times of war. The NAZIS (well the Coca-Cola company based in Germany) created Fanta in WW2 because there was an embargo in place, and they couldn't get coke syrup.

Someday somebody on this site has to give me a breakdown and synopsis of the IRA and the troubles. I feel as though my understanding of this is pretty poor. I still don't understand how and why England has any legal, or moral claim over any part of Ireland, or how this is justified.

Seriously low IQ bipeds.
See how they are dressed in suits as if they were highly educated upper middle class. They of course have zero class

If he had killed my son, he’d need to live in a gated community with security.
I think about this sometimes. If my partner was ever raped, or murdered, it would mean I'd have to go to jail forever.

They'll have a PR outfit looking after them and telling how to dress, no doubt about it.

On occasion I find myself in the company of Irish politicians and it's only Mattie McGrath that I have any time for.

There is no doubt that the Irish state also has its own agenda and the politicians are there just to sell/impose it upon the voters, even those with cloth caps.
