For that, I'd have to have been one and I never was.

Not a totally inaccurate depiction as far as films go. Not really culturally relevant to the skins I knew, but the bones of it all are there. That is more or less how it works. Crusty old pieces of shit brainwashing disaffected young males into doing the boot work for them.

The older baddie in "American History X" (which actually is more nuanced than you would get today) was based on Tom Metzger who some profressional "Anti-Fascists" admit was a complex and interesting character, he is someone you should look into.

I have started getting in to, small bets on horse racing ~ ~ The problem is, you have to do a hell of a lot of boring research ~ ~ If you were willing to do the copious amounts of the boring research on small field races ( probably no more that 9 ~ ~ If there was one or two more they would have to be genuine no-hope-ers ) ~ ~ Maybe maybe maybe, you could make a few euros on the betting exchanges.

As I say you'd have to love doing the research , know a good bit about the mathematics of odds ~ ~ Know what types of races to bet on ( young horses can be a bit un-predicable, for example )

It is said ( well on the internet ) that only 1% or 2% of gamblers actually make money.

Another problem is the Bookies will block you, even if they just think, you are a Threat of being a Winner ~ ~ Even amateur me, was partially blocked by Bet365 because I did nearly catch them for €9,500 on a 7 horse acca !

Apparently the betting exchanges are not as quick to block you, but will take a bigger % of your winnings if you have consistent success !

I would never say that poker isn't gambling, but it's also a skill game. There are professional poker players - there are no professional roulette players

That hand (and video) is made more interesting if you're familiar with the odds in poker (Texas hold'em)

Well they were both gambling as all the chips went in pre-flop, the result of the hand to be determined..

The guy with QQ (who's a professional poker player from a land down under) was a big favourite, and both of them knew it when their hole cards were turned over, look at the the other guy's reaction

Hachem's hand is what's called dominating his opponent's, making him a solid 2/1 favourite, change AQ to AK (two overcards to QQ) and then it would be what's referred to as a coin-flip, or about 50-50

But yes, when the ace is turned, Hachem is down to 3% (the percentages are on the screen) and that's actually a rather generous 3%. With one card to come the odds are straightforward to calculate. There are 8 known cards, leaving 44 unknown and there is only one queen (the 'case' queen) left in the deck, so the odds are 1/44=, closer to two percent than three

PS. This would've been a tournament situation, so you can't sit around forever not playing a hand i.e. be unwilling to gamble
