Trump and Co sell their stocks at a high, guaranteeing profits through market manipulation.

Friday, after 8pm when markets have closed: Repeat.

Iranian demands were never going to be acceptable to the US, especially control of the Straits with the right to levy massive tolls, so they are just going to do it anyway and should the US try and force its way through then they will be losing a ship or two in the attempt.

Despite the might of all those shiny carrier groups, and destroyers with their fancy missile launching systems, the straits cannot be opened by America against Iran's will. They have tried it once already and got turned back while the fate of the USS Tripoli remains unclear, other than it's scarpered to the southern Indian Ocean where nobody can see what, if any, damage has been done to it.

So what has been achieved by this little adventure of the US and Israel? Higher oil prices, a dug in regime and a good deal of destruction in Israel (as far as we can tell), hard to think of anything positive, other than the exposure of the US/Zionist alliance as a terrible force for evil in the world.

Further detail on why the talks failed, the Iranians know the straits are their ace card and are playing it for all its worth -


American officials cited by CNN stated that two issues drove the impasse: Iran's refusal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and its refusal to surrender its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

Without resolution on those points, Iran's demands for sanctions relief and the unfreezing of billions in assets collapsed as well.

"Iranian negotiators, aware of the leverage that the closure of the strait provides, refused to reopen the waterway until a final deal was reached," officials said.

Both sides presented offers on the nuclear issue during the talks, but Iran appeared unmoved by Trump's previous claim that the U.S. and Iran would jointly remove what he calls "nuclear dust."

A MAN WAS refused bail in court today after he was charged with breaching a security perimeter fence at Shannon Airport and causing criminal damage to a US military plane.


Daithí O’Corrain, (47), Blarney Street, Cork City, appeared before Limerick District Court today on three alleged criminal offences.


O’Corrain was charged with one count of causing criminal damage to a C130 Hercules aircraft at Shannon Airport, Co Clare, on Saturday 11 April.


O’Corrain was also charged with causing criminal damage to a perimeter fence at Shannon Airport on the same date.


The accused was also charged with trespassing at a taxiway at the airport, on the same date.







Shannon Airport suspended all of its operations for under half an hour on the morning in question, which resulted in slight delays to two departing flights.


Shannon Gardaí, Shannon Airport police, Shannon Airport Fire and Rescue, as well as Irish Defence Forces personnel who were on duty at the airport at the time, responded to the alleged criminal damage of the US military plane.


A contested bail application in court by O’Corrain’s solicitor was heard before Judge Patricia Harney.


Judge Harney said she was satisfied to refuse bail, after she heard garda objections to bail and the alleged background to the case.


The judge said O’Corrain was entitled to his presumption of innocence.


She remanded O’Corrain in custody to appear before Ennis District Court, on next Wednesday 15 April.

Berlin and Kiev will coordinate efforts to return military-age Ukrainian men residing in Germany to their home country, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has announced following a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky.

As Ukrainian forces suffer mounting losses in the conflict with Russia and the pool of willing recruits continues to shrink, draft enforcement squads have increasingly turned to violent methods to fill the ranks in recent months. Men are being snatched off the streets, from workplaces and residential areas, as evidenced by hundreds of videos circulating online.

The heavy-handed tactics employed by Ukrainian press gangs have led to a rise in violent confrontations with unwilling recruits, their families, and passersby, with multiple recruits and draft enforcement officers being injured or even killed.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Zelensky in Berlin on Tuesday, Merz reiterated the German government’s “support for Ukraine’s efforts to reduce the number of Ukrainian men of military age leaving [their home] country.” According to the German chancellor, “this is essential to ensuring Ukraine’s defense capabilities, social cohesion, and reconstruction.”

“We need rapid, tangible progress here, also in the interest of both sides,” he stressed.
Zelensky concurred that the issue “must be addressed,” adding that “of course, our armed forces would want these people to return to Ukraine.”

In January, Merz similarly called on Ukraine to create conditions that would encourage its young men to remain in the country rather than flee to Western Europe.

Following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022, Germany became the top destination for Ukrainian migrants in the EU, taking in more than a million people, according to the Federal Statistical Office.

Some Ukrainian officials have acknowledged escalating public discontent with the forced mobilization campaign.

According to Vadim Ivchenko, a member of the Ukrainian parliament’s national security committee, only around 8-10% of new personnel entering the armed forces are willing recruits.

Moscow has repeatedly accused Kiev’s Western backers of waging a proxy war against Russia “to the last Ukrainian.”
