All very odd a chara, even gript doesn't mention why he was meeting these teens? No idea if the culprits were new Irish, it's all a bit, odd 🤔

Seems like they are. Both were deemed a flight risk, though they were born in Ireland. Gardaí we're concerned that that they could try to leave the country to hide with family living abroad. Blanch is one gigantic foreign dump, so it's not exactly a surprise.

The details of the murder are fking tragic. There's a video of the victim on his knees, crying, begging these savage fuckers not to kill him- while one of the rats records him on a phone.

Fucking animals should be skinned alive.

But at least his family can take comfort from the fact that the killers will feel the full wrath of the Irish justice system and serve a 6 month suspended sentence.

Ironically, Dickens would have been considered extremely progressive (in the proper sense of the word) for someone living at that time. He relentlessly campaigned to overturn the Poor Laws that existed in Victorian England, writing letters to newspapers and frequently visiting the slum areas of London to gain a better understanding of the living conditions of the poor.

He also highlighted and attacked various institutions of the time in his books (Oliver Twist, David Copperfield etc).

He ensured that his books were available to the poor by serialising the stories in weekly installments at a minimal cost.

In other words, he was a saint. Not that any of that matters to the fucking clowns above.
