I'm not trying to hamper the Ukrainian cause, I was simply sharing what I think is a significant new development. It indicates that there's a personnel issue that is being shored up with the introduction of female enlistment for front line action.

I'm not against the use of women in the field - as full citizens they are subject to it. The only caveat is capability and the caution that if females are combatants then women will be placed into the same category as men during imprisonment or occupation.

Every dead Russian soldier is one less who can kill a Ukrainian, one less in terms of military experience and capacity, another drain on training and military readiness, another lost productive life for Russia, more trauma for his comrades, and another reminder of the futility of what Putin has done.

Perhaps they could just go home, and live peaceful lives.

But it could also be too late for that.
