My wife drew my attention to this story. I dont know why. I think she meant that its significant in the West vs Russia story

that has to be it

Thinking on it does actually raise the question as to whether the UK can be considered to have an effective nuclear deterrent, two fails in two shots suggests it cannot be relied upon.

We might also take into consideration the idea that the US somehow interfered with the missiles. By doing so it would underline its position as the west's premier nuclear force, thus reinforcing the image of America still being the leader of the 'free' world.

A man with the almost total support of his people and with his faculties fully intact being verbally assaulted by a geriatric pedophile with serious dementia.
I'm sure Putin is quaking in his boots as he watches the banana republic that is america tearing itself apart.

Fish and chips under threat as Russia pulls out of deal signed with UK in 1956

Russian Parliamentary speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said: "The British need to study some proverbs - 'Russians harness the horse slowly, but ride it fast'."

"The unscrupulous British have eaten Russian fish for 68 years. Now let them lose weight, get smarter."

That's not inconsequential for a lot of ordinary English folk.
Might promote more questions other than the shyte from sky and the rest of the msm.

The article is brilliant.

Fact 1. British vessels caught 556,000 tons of cod and haddock in Russian waters last year alone.

Countered by UK goon 'UK vessels do not fish in these Russian waters'.

:)

One of the differences I've noticed between here and say Gaychat, is that no one really talks about Coof over there (except for the really sad, miserable bastards like @Mods vs Roc_ers) and no one really talks about the war in Ukraine either, certainly not in an Armchair General sense.

I have to admit, I think P.ie are better about this than us.

That'll suit your narrow one tracked mind better? Keeping the conversation censored and shutting up other relevant realities - Poor you.

The National Dish going the way of the Dodo!
Ever since the chippers have been frying the food in rendered animal carcass fats, the so called national dish really ends up tasting like a dead Dodo and worse:poop:

Besides, most chippers these days use anything they can get cheap and falsely label it. You ain't getting pristine northerly Cod.

Many stopped cheering the war with the fall of Bakkmutt(not Maripol). Now this latest defeat will surely knock all but the diehards off the bandwagon. Especially if the Russians quickly and easily gobble up a lot of land some miles west.

We will have a good sense of this after this weekend, that is, after a week, or maybe 10 days.

Trouble is that it is those that are left on the bandwagon who have hold of the reins.

Mededev nails it again -

"In Europe, as I have said many times, all the true leaders are gone. A generation of dim, lackluster technocrats has arrived, who endorse only Euro-Atlantic ideals. Instead of dealing with their national problems, they follow instructions from Washington," he said.

Bang On.

He has a sense of humour as well -

"No, but they could object. To the extent that during the period when de Gaulle was the French president, France suspended its participation in the military component of NATO, and considered it the right thing to do. Can you imagine anyone even mentioning that now? They would tear him to pieces and say: 'We will be attacked instantly, Cossacks will be galloping around Paris again, and the world will simply collapse!'"

Ukraine has lost a significant portion of its territory and has suffered major economic damage during the conflict with Russia, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said on Tuesday. He claimed that most of the people who have left the country “are not coming back.”

In an interview with Japanese news channel NHK, Shmigal stated that Ukraine has lost “30% of its economy, some 20% of its territory, and 3.5 million jobs” in the past two years. In addition, 8,400 km of roads have been damaged and 2 million households affected by the fighting, according to the prime minister.

Shmigal further estimated that more than 10 million people have been forced to leave their homes or flee the country altogether, predicting that many are unlikely to return.

“They are not coming back to Ukraine from the European Union, from all around the world, because of security issues,” the prime minister said, reiterating Kiev’s calls for more Western munitions.

I wonder why that might be, especially those males of military age, which is just about any lad between 10 and 65.

Pavlin is a legend.
Nearly upscuttled himself in Donegal a few years back when the bike went into a deep ditch.
Yeah, I can relate entirely to him, his random thoughts are pretty much my way of thinking when out on the road as well!

He's no time for a top box on a bike.
But it's the first thing I fit.
A great youtube channel.
Always watch his musings on things.
Plus his rating of bike clothing is spot on.

Aye, top boxes can be a mixed blessing, I had one snap the rack off over time due to its shaking in the wind.

Hadn't realised you were a biker.

Destroying Democracy to Save Democracy
Ukraine cancels its elections indefinitely:

President Volodymyr Zelensky, the leader of the war-torn country, just received approval from his parliament to extend Martial Law another 90 days. There have been many parliamentary extensions of the wartime mandate, but this one carried special significance because the 2024 presidential elections in Ukraine were scheduled for March 31, 2024, coinciding with the end of Zelensky’s five year term. Now that Martial Law is in place to cover that time period, Ukraine’s presidential elections have been cancelled indefinitely.

Ya gotta laugh.
Cameron, of the Brit imperialist state, calling Putin a 'neo-imperialist'.

Dirty warmongering scumbag.

Winston Churchill once said 'Meeting jaw to jaw is better than war' or 'Jaw jaw is better than war war' as it morphed into.

It's no laughing matter, Cameruin's imperialistic illegal invasions of the middle east & africa have gifted Mehole, Leona, and Heyman a million homeless refugees to feck around with in Ireland . . . . Oh and Cameruin's club are directly responsible for pushing 1/4 million Ukrainians into their graves while gifting the country to his foreigner chums.

It's amazing but if had he stayed at home none of the above would have happened and we'd all be happy, prosperous and at peace.

His statements are that of a deluded puppet, who has destroyed Ukraine forever.

Nobody has a higher opinion of Cameron than David himself.

Putin has the vote of many millions of Russians. Cameron has not one vote from anyone in the UK

Democratic values.
