i presume that is a general comment val as i have never fired or assisted in the firing of anyone.
The poster auld lad is relatively new, it was before that, I was managing the threads and not allowing new threads on the same topic. Anderson was the main offender. When a thread was mature and dwindling or when he was unable to answer posts he would start a new thread on the same topic and I would delete it. He could not take it. Same with Wolfe.

Val put up a video yesterday saying Dubs should vote for Boylan ahead of his own Irish Freedom Party candidate.

His argument was that he's the best of the worst and is the only one that has a chance of getting elected.

I understand where he's coming from but I can't vote for the ugly khunt. I can't forget the time he broke down in tears because someone slagged off his hair.
Post a link, what you say is a lie.

This is a lie. I said they should transfer to him. Once a candidate is eliminated the vote is dead unless transferred. It is called tactical voting, but unfortunately only the returning officers and me understand it.

Unfortunately our side is not going to win any seats. That is the hard fact. I have always said
we should be realistic about attracting voters which is a science in itself. There are only a few in with a chance. Ciaran Molooley. Nial Boylan and Michael McNamara.

This is hard to swallow but the fact is Irish people will sell us out.

With about a half a dozen 'Anti' Candidates on each ballot, all it was ever going to do was split the Nationalist vote. There should have been some hard meetings and egos swallowed about who was going to run. The situation is too desperate to have vanity projects going on at the same time.

The problem with that approach is that the best possible result would be only one candidate elected per constituency. However, running multiple candidates has the potential for multiple candidates to be elected, and in such a scenario that would deprive more seats being won by the main parties, who by the way all run multiple candidates and risk splitting their own vote, but they do it to try get multiple candidates elected and often it works. These election results will give us a good idea on the appropriate strategy for the General Election.

The Proportional Representation system used in Ireland was invented by an organisation in England, I think about 1916, as a scientific way to have elections without the possibility of splitting the vote (which is a big problem in the UK). First tried then in Sligo Corporation elections and then the local election in Ireland in 1920. By and large it succeeds, its not possible to split the vote in Irish elections.

That said it is possible to dissipate somewhat the media, postering and leafleting exposure which might otherwise go to one candidate if you have multiple candidates.

Unfortunately Justin Barrett said the same thing in an interview I listened to a few days ago, he also said bluntly he is not going to get elected and was not going to campaign. He said mostly the idea behind running himself and his wife was simply because he could, it demonstrates his leadership of the National Party which looks like going to law soon.

To be honest, I wasn't impressed by the interview although obviously he is one of our more experienced and articulate people.

If right-wing candidates are going to act dole-spongers, sit at their keyboards and on their duffs the live-long days and not even deign to hit the pavement, knock doors and discuss the issues, fuck them and the horses they rode in on in.

I understand that she has a target painted on her back but if that's the case, she's no business running in the first place.
Yeah, she appeared out of nowhere a week ago. Think it's just a gimmick to get her face out there for future elections. The rest of the nationalist candidates have been busting their asses the last few weeks. It's an insult.

Paddy McDonald and Clifford Kelly came to our meeting in Kingscourt attended by 280 local people on migration. K. Shekleton did not come. When asked later why? he said he would sue anyone who tried to speak for him or quoted him. He is not clear on migration. Years ago Clifford Kelly sued a harmless local gombeen for defamation. The man came to me as many do when in trouble. I have saved many people for false law and saved one couple with 2 young children from loosing their home. I am a dirty rotten bastard in a legal scrap, but only to help decent people and it is a secret. This poor fellow was not up for a fight and apologised.

McDonald and Kelly were very honest at that meeting I appreciate that. They said that as councillors the government refused to give them any information as to who they were sending.
Both are upset by migration and Kelly said "we will soon be a minority in out our country."
An auld lad beside me said that was a "big spake."
McDonald is all right, even though he had a pike in the thatch at one time. He plays cards in Shercock which is a very good sign. Kingscourt is my town, but Shercock is my second and my drinking town town, Carrick is next. However, how do I vote for him and not support Mary Lou's communists kunts. McDonald is under pressure from Marina Reilly a neighbour's daughter and in my road. I will have to give her some mark in case she finds out no one on the road voted for her. She is a lesbian and her lover is a Medical doctor. So one of Myles brigade. Gay women with 2 dogs. So there is no one. There are 2 elections and 1 will go to Herman Kelly, 2 to James Reynolds , 3 Justin Barrett, and 4 to either waters or Malooly. I am committed but I will get Barret some votes and then transfer.

What Barrett is saying is correct .

if i was voting he would be number 1.
a j cahill number 2.
Reynolds 3
John waters 4
Gerry waters 5
Herman kelly 6,

I expect 12 and 3 at the bottom and eliminated.

then my vote is a number 1 for john waters.

i would give 7 to peter casey if the other 6 are eliminated before him.
After all 7 are to be eliminated, my vote then would expire worthless

I think there's going to be a poor turnout.
No one seems to give a damn.

The big positive to come from this latest round of election theater, is that it will become obvious, soon enough, that voting has changed nothing

Voter early and vote often, Mates. And chin up. Even if patriot candidates completely crash out, at least the dirt have been given a wake-up call.
The Dirt don't do wake up calls. They already know they are unpopular and illegitimate. They seek only to hold on to official power, even if they have to cheat and lie
